I try to have lunch at Cocos at least once a week, If I don't, I start to get withdrawal symptoms. I have had most of the items on the menu and would struggle to say which one is best as I've loved everything I've had there. I would however implore anyone visiting to start any meal with the Asian spicy chicken wings - easily the best in Wellington and the Chao shou, dumplings served is in a hot and spicy broth. Both dishes would easily be a great lunch, especially if you like spicy food. If your still hungry then the burgers are awesome, the Katsudon is fantastic, the Karaagei chicken salad is great, its just all good. Pays to get in early if your going for lunch. Read moreA simple, short menu with little choice is usually a sign that either the kitchen is limited or that they do a few things really well. Luckily, in this case, it's the latter and we enjoyed delicious burgers and wine here one lunch time recently.
The vegetable burger is non-mashed, non patty, recognisable vegetable chunks in a bun which my vegetarian friend was initially surprised at but ended up loving. I had the crispy chicken burger and it was enormous and delicious. Add fries for a dollar, that's a no brainer. It's also in the entertainment book so get yourself a bargain.
