Atrocious customer service from the duty manager with the attitude of a borstal matron. Ordered the boneless hot & crispy duo online. Order was ready five minutes late, but hot and freshly made with excellent chips. However the hot and spicy boneless pieces were disappointingly small, not much bigger than chicken nuggets, and the two largest pieces in the pack (still smaller than a wicked wing) were undercooked, with slimy unrendered gristle. We took these to the counter, explained the problem, and indicated we did not expect a full refund or replacement meal but would be happy with a couple of wicked wings. The staff member went to the manager who required me to explain the issue again. She gave approval to the other staff member who had assisted me to box two wicked wings for us, but then denied the chicken was undercooked and pulled the pieces I took back apart with a pair of tongs demanding that I explain what was wrong again, which led to a ridiculous back and forth of me describing exactly the same issue again and again whilst she came up with various different ways of deflecting and denying there was a problem. The stringy raw looking muscle of the chicken was apparent all the way through this Monty Python-esque exchange, a la "this parrot is not dead" I still cannot believe the lengths this manager went to in order to undermine the reputation of KFC with this unhinged response to a genuine concern raised by a customer. All while the remedy that would have avoided this negative publicity (and the letter sent to Restaurant Brands) sat on the counter, only for this manager to refuse to hand it over after pulling the piece apart and seeing the issue with her own eyes. I went to kfc to buy food on New Year’s Day. I queued for a long time but no staff came to take the order. They seemed to be doing it on purpose. After I asked them, their manager told me that if I want to eat, I can go to the machine to order or going to somewhere else, I was shocked by she's attitude at the time, after I turned and left, she immediately ordered for the local behind me, so I started to queue again, but when I ordered when I was there, their employees deliberately left again, and seemed unwilling to order for me. I think the employees received some kind of instructions from the manager, and they could ignore my order request. The manager said to me bluntly "i don't like you as a person" before I left. I have reason to think that this manager is showing serious racial discrimination. And I have great doubts about kfc's company personnel and management mechanism, because I think she became a manager without professional training. Read moreOrdered online because we expected online order to be quicker then waiting in the drive thru because it’s used to be packed went to pick up by the time given on the online order. There was maybe 3 other people inside eating, 2 cars in the drive thru - 3 staff were sitting outside (assuming on break) waited 45 minutes for our food to be ready, in that time 3 people had come in after and ordered and they all returned with missing items or wrong items. Finally received our order and had to return because we were missing items. The chips were lukewarm at best, gravy was watery and had no taste, chicken was covered in oil but was so sloppy the coating had all fallen off in the box, bread rolls were solid, “wicked wings” were plain normal wings and had ordered a large coleslaw but was given two small ones? None of the food was hot. Considering there was 5+ staff behind the counter, only one lady was running around getting food out… everyone else looked like they were in lala land. Shouldn’t be this hard to get orders right and food at a reasonable wait time. Didn’t even eat the rest of our order … waste of $95 🤮 If you want cold, old and oily food after waiting 45 minutes (IF you even get what you ordered) then this is definitely the spot to go.
