Whang Thai — Restaurant in North Island

I was skeptical to try a new place while there are so many in whangarei already but I'm so glad I gave this place a go! I LOVED IT. I'm a Thai food lover and yes !!! This place is spot on with taste and flavors . Clean good service, smiling faces and kind. I enjoyed pad Thai noodles their red curry was yummy. Gari puff was wow ! I liked their entree. Went there for takeout on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed (good sign!).

There was about a 30 minute wait, but they were very busy and people were coming by to pick up orders. They had let us know they were busy and it could be a long wait so that was all good.

I had the takeaway green curry. Be mindful that the spice levels for the curries seem to be the ‘Thai’ spice levels rather than the ‘European’ spice levels so to speak, I had mild and it seemed like a medium to me.
