I had the meal B1, and it was very delicious. The portion was also sufficient, so I felt full. We also didn’t have to wait long and got our food quite quickly. To round it off, we had a bubble tea, the best I’ve had here so far. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. We will definitely come here again. 😊

The portion sizes were amazing, especially given their price. The food was delicious. Bit of a small restaurant but the tables were clean. Food didn't take long. Only thing I would like to see change is the fact that they don't use MSG! MSG is hated for no good reason, but very tasty! I suppose people who have smaller brains don't like flavour.

Not too shabby. I had the chicken katsu with rice, which I liked, but probably wouldn't order again - I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't chicken schnitzel and plain rice. I mean, I like plain rice (a lot), and who doesn't like a crispy chicken cutlet? But not ideal for a take-out tv dinner.

My partner had the beef pad thai, which was excellent, and which was the perfect accompaniment to Ripley. I didn't tell them, but I had deep order envy.

I can't really fault Little Bamboo on anything, except that the food wasn't ready when we arrived following their online timer's prediction. The owner-cooks reacted as if they had forgotten the order and hastily started cooking. I dunno, maybe they had just finished a big order, and the person who helped apologised and said: oh, just a few minutes. And they cooked up the food within maybe 5 minutes. So... 🤷‍♂️ The plus of course is that the food was hot and delicious....

Really interesting to see the reviews on this. We gave it a go based off the high ratings. Despite our insticts to move on based on the atmosphere alone we thought hey what could go wrong "look at the reviews". Well the food was beyond average. It wasn't fresh as aimed. The bao was boring and lacking in flavour and lacked fresh ingredients. Pork belly was pretty disappointing as well, again not much flavour. Fried chicken was definitely only okay, much better options in Whangarei. They need to up their game on freshness and flavour.
