Meow — Restaurant in North Island

I've bought a Grabone voucher for the food and drink combo and on that voucher it says it's valid Tuesday to Friday 4.00 pm to late so I called them to make a reservation for 4.00pm but the staff (I think Dam is his name) I was talking to said they're not open to serve this until 5.30pm. I told him that what they've posted on grabone is not true then. He's not apologetic at all and his reason is some restaurants are like them. So, I went to the Delaney Davidson gig at Meow on Friday. The venue was freezing. Two hours later, full of punters, it was still freezing. Everyone had their jackets zipped up to their chins & beanies on. The stage was soo poorly lit, we couldn't see the band members, even though we were in direct sight of the stage. Occasionally, Delaney would lean forward & I'd see his face, but mainly it was hazy, dimmed blue & red lights. Cigarette smoke from outside was blowing into the venue. It's a revolting stench that made a poor aroma inside. Overall, it was a really disappointing evening at Meow & we'd hesitate to go...

Had a blast at our private celebration here!

The whole crew had such a good time - honestly, when you're celebrating with your favorite people, everything just feels great.

As for the venue itself - it did its job perfectly for our private party! Hard to give the full scoop since we basically had the place to ourselves, but hey, sometimes you just gotta review the vibes, and the vibes were good!

Would definitely consider it again for another private celebration - especially if we're keeping...
