Sabal — Restaurant in North Island

Finally made it down to this Coeliac safe restaurant and I wish we hadn't waited so long! What an awesome place to take family or friends to dine, bonus if you need gluten free food too. The owner is lovely and the restaurant has an amazing vibe, with outdoor seating and bean bags, you can even bring the dog! Than there is the delicious food, we had the karaage chicken and it was gone in a matter of seconds, seriously yum. I stopped eating out after been diagnosed with Coeliac and having bad experiences, but I will 100% be dining again at Sabal and highly recommend it to everyone, can't wait to try the rest...

Great place, great experience. We only came down for the weekend and will definitely return. Great food and options to chill, relax, and still a place to have kids and know they will be looked after. Cannot fault. Would definitely recommend to friend's, family and anyone else reading this.

How awesome to find a gluten-free place in Mount Maunganui. So healthy and tasty. And the owner/chef could not have been more kind. Plus, she gave us great recommendations for restaurants we've been visiting in other towns on our holiday (e.g. Snug, and Toret Cucina in the New Plymouth area - outstanding). Thank you Lynley.
