Terrible service. I visited during break time after class. Perhaps because it had just opened, there were a lot of customers, and I was aware of that and waited. The break time was 30 minutes, but even after 30 minutes, the drinks had not come out. When I asked the staff, they told me to wait and that the drinks would be ready soon. As I was waiting, they started calling out order numbers from behind me. When I asked again, they said they were making my drink because they had run out of pistachio cream and asked me to wait 10 more minutes. They didn't inform the waiting customers that they had run out of cream. I had to go to class, so I left after saying I would come back after class.
I visited again after class, and even though I showed my receipt, the staff were not aware of my situation. I think the information may not have been handed over. The response I received was to wait again. In the end, the employee who served me started making the drink himself, and after receiving it, I realized the cup size was wrong. It looks like the staff needs to be more familiar with the recipes. They then started making the drink again. Ice is also measured on a scale, and the speed was too slow. My class ended late at night, so I didn't have time to wait any longer and had to take the bus. I asked if I could get one of the drinks they had already made and received it.
I understand that everything a person does can be busy and slow. It is the customer's duty to understand that. However, there was no proper apology or proposed solution, and it was not a good experience to see customers being treated poorly just because the...
Read moreGreat staff, but harsh lighting, and average value. I was walking down Lorne street when I spotted Cocomo, having seen the place under construction for a while I was curious as to what type of Cafe or shop had arrived in Auckland CBD. I was fascinated to find out it was a place centered around coconut water. I was not a fan of the atmosphere of this place at all, the lighting is quite overwhelming, coming from the dark evening street to the hospital-ish lighting of Cocomo was quite the strain on my eyes. As well as that the lack of soft surfaces inside the venue meant the sound of people was quite harsh and loud. Once my eyes adjusted and I saw the staff member in front of me, awaiting my order, the experience improved. The staff were all polite and great at explaining the concept of Cocomo, as well as the different flavours they had to offer. I chose the Sakura one, the milk foam was nice and the coconut water was as you'd expect coconut water to be, nothing special. There was however, quite a considerable amount of ice, and not much drink, but this was my fault as I didn't know you could choose ice levels. Even still, the cup was quite small, so for $12 ($11.80) you're not getting much bang for your buck. There are definitely better offerings around Auckland and I wouldn't likely come back to this place. If they toned down their lighting I might give it...
Read moreI bought the matcha cloud coconut as it was one of the recommended menus. I love coconut water and matcha as well. The drink was kinda delicious, but nothing too extraordinary. However, I was quite baffled when I saw how much ice they put in my drink. It was almost half full 😂 and it cost $12.80, and the cup wasn't that big either, maybe just a regular cup size. If the price was cheaper, I would understand why people are so hyped about this place, but for me, let's say I won't be missing out much.
The interior of this shop was quite big and tidy but some of the tables were too unstable and shaky. Also, there is only one menu displayed in the shop, and it's right at the front of the counter. So, for someone new to this place like me, I wish there was a bigger menu screen or more menu displays available in the shop, rather than me trying to walk in front of the line just to see the menu and return back to the queue. As shown in the photo I uploaded, you can only read the menu screen if you are by the counter and that's the only menu screen I found in the shop. So imagine if this place was busy and you couldn't see where...
