Oh boy, was my taste buds at gunpoint as soon as I received my Dandan noodle soup.
My typical student diet consists of Sunday night pasta, mac and cheese on Wednesdays, buttered toast every morning accompanied by refreshing Dilma premium tea; the slightest hint of pepper in a bland dish would have me shell-shocked and at war with the toilet. The soup spoon? Not entirely sure the exact name but let me just say it sat perfectly above the steaming bowl of Dandan noodles, the aroma wafting up teasing my senses. As I dipped the spoon into the bowl, the soup swirled around it, the steam rising in a gentle wisp, my mouth was watering in anticipation. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, savouring the rich and complex flavours that danced on the floor of my tongue. It was a delicious blend of noodles balanced with a beautiful sauce.
I let out a contented sigh as I savoured the taste, my taste buds tingling with pleasure. The second spoonful was even better than the first, the flavours intensifying with each bite. Throughout the soup, I could taste an abundance of sweetness, spice, and herbs that gave it a deep flavour. Due to my intense concentration in devouring this generous portion of quite possibly the best meal I have ever encountered, my entire mouth was numb and I was only half way done.
As I finished the last spoonful, I felt a sense of satisfaction wash over me. It was comforting and nourishing, and left me feeling warm and content. And I knew that no matter how many bowls of soup I would eat in the future, that one spoonful would always be the most delicious one in my memory.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience I will never...
Read moreReally don’t know that they have changed their rules. My friend found a seat inside and sit down while I was waiting to order the food, as we used to do that last time when we came here. Then, the guy told me that we need to order the food first before grab a seat. I understand that their rule, we will give the seat to some one ordered already. But one of the old lady who work there just kick my friend out, ask her off from the seat if she didn’t order anything. Then she come to me, and just telling loudly to me that we can’t doing that in front of other customer ! And keep saying that to us, I told her that we already know as the guy just told us , she doesn’t need to explain anymore. But she refused my request ! And she is saying that the reputation of sunny town is very important in front of all the guests and loudly to embarrassing us !!!!! I really don’t wanna argue with her, so we just walked away. For this hopeless restaurant, they only care about themselves, they don’t care how the customer feel. One more thing! They are really racist! They treaded kiwi ppl nicer , but just Behebung rude and grumpy to Chinese customers Even though they are...
Read more5 star service.
I ordered a set of 6 dumplings and a side dish. After a reasonable wait, the dumplings were ready, but I was informed of a small issue with my order (they could only serve 5 dumplings, I think the final did not make it!). Before I even got to ask or raise any questions, they offered to give me an extra dish of 4 dumplings of a different variety to make good (as it would take longer to re-do my original dish in full), in addition to the original dish of 5 dumplings (this makes sense, no point wasting food, some restaurants would just trash the incomplete dish).
Very happy with this service so giving them 5 stars.
The dumplings were fairly tasty for their price and you can see them being made freshly in the front of the restaurant. The side dish (porridge) could be improved but this was cheap. The dumplings are medium-large sized, and...
