I’ve been a loyal Cotton On shopper for years, mostly at Sylvia Park, and I’ve never experienced service this terrible. Today at the Cotton On CBD, 01/09/25, a white female staff member (around 18–25, glasses, red top, bangs, fairly tall) was shockingly rude. I asked her about a white top, and she said they didn’t have it, but the way she rolled her eyes and gave me a clearly annoyed look made me feel completely unwelcome. Later, at the counter, she told me an item was $49.99. I politely double-checked because I thought it was on sale for $34.99, and she snapped that the sale was “online only.” When I told her I wouldn’t be buying it, she sighs loudly, rolls her eyes at me, and sounds so annoyed it’s ridiculous. I could not believe a staff member would behave like this in a retail store, I don’t think she should be even hired in the first place, like girl if you want a job where you can be mean that is clearly not the place.
I understand it was close to closing time, but that doesn’t excuse treating customers this way. As someone who works in customer service myself, this was completely unprofessional. I love Cotton On, and the Sylvia Park staff are always amazing, but after this experience, I will think twice before ever returning to...

It was the first time we visited that store so we didn’t know there was a ramp but as we entered the shop, the staff at the front kindly informed us about the availability of a ramp to access other areas of the store. While we were in the Baby/Kids section, I noticed there were two staff who acted as if we were not there, didn’t even ask if we need help or anything. So we continued to have a look at the clothes and eventually selected at least 4 pieces to buy. We were about to pay and then 1 staff told us to go pay in the other counter outside of the Kids section, where there were long queues. There was nothing wrong with their (Kids section) two counters. It wasn’t busy. In fact, at that time we were the only customers there. My baby was starting to get fussy so we decided to just leave & not buy the clothes that we picked. Awful service. Read moreWent to the Queen Street store today 18-12-20 and had the worst experience in store. Firstly there was a staff member standing at the front door staring into space as he obviously didn't want to be there, this staff member did not greet us and proceeded to ghost us around the store in an uncomfortable way. Secondly my partner had a few items to try on and there was a problem which resulted in the manager reprimanding a staff member in front of customers who was supposed to be monitoring the changing rooms and leaving customers standing clueless waiting to try on clothes resulting in my partner giving up after 10 minutes of waiting and resulting in this rather sour experience.
