Rooftop At QT — Restaurant in Waitematā

What a terrible experience here! We were told there was a 40min wait to get up to the bar and that someone would phone us. No one phoned us, so we returned after an hour. By that time there was no one in line and everything had quietened down. Not enough seating outdoors but we were happy to sit indoors. We had already waited an hour so when we didn’t get table service after 10min we ordered at the bar. The female bartender was rude and didn't record our order even after we gave our tab card - this caused troubles when we paid as we were overcharged. Our drinks menu was taken from our table which felt like we weren’t allowed to order again or that we weren’t valued customers. When we went to pay, the door host asked how everything was and when explaining our poor experience she felt the need to give excuses. She even said “is it just because you didn’t get a table outdoors”. That was the least concerning issue and frankly a sincere apology would’ve sufficed. Customer service is almost nonexistent here, I would not recommend this...

HORRENDOUS experience! I am giving a 1 star review because there was no ZERO star option!! NEVER GO THERE!

We were going to have a team end-of-year drink here because it's not far from our office. When I called THREE days in advance to make a reservation, I was told that no reservations were required. I didn't want to put the entire team at risk, so I came here the next day to double-check. Spoke to someone called Vic and he made the reservation for us. Also he gave me a booking card and told me to rest assured.

However, when a group of 10 of us arrived expectantly on the day, another lady claiming to be the Manager informed us that no booking had been made and that they could not accommodate us due to a private function. There was NO attempt to solve the problem, NO apology given, and NO manner in the way she talks. We were insulted and basically told to get lost.

That was THE WORST experience anyone of us had ever had. Not sure how they are still in business. NEVER GO...

Horrible experience. Myself and friend went to the QT for a drink as she was from out of town and I wanted to show her how beautiful the QT was, unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant experience. Don't get me wrong I understand that this place is what you would call ''high end'' however, after ordering a wine and a vodka/redbull for over $50.00 (yeah two drinks for that price, an absolute rip off) I would have expected the waiter to at least talk or look me in the eyes when I ordered (maybe a thank you) his customer service was appalling, didn't say anything, gave me the eftpos machine and walked off. I approached another waiter to let him know we weren't happy with the experience and his reaction was ''leave a message on the review page'' THEN he had the audacity to say ''Next time you come in, get table service/tab and then it will be better for you'' then walked away so, aka spend more money and you will get better service.
