I was looking forward to going here for my birthday and waited a whole month unfortunately when i got it i Was disappointed. Firstly they did not look anything like advertised. I was recommended beef n cheese, these were bland, I regret not getting the pork n cabbage however My partner got the prawn and was extremely happy. I particularly chose this one as it offered the chips as a side. These too did not come as imagined, hardly anything ontop and little amount of sauce.

On this day of joy and celebration we decided it was time to come and try Sumthin Dumplin that has been on our to do list for a little now, I must say we made a great choice in choosing here as the service was amazing 👏🏻 😀 time wise it was busy and they managed to pump on out orders in record time 👌🏻 We tried all but the cheese and beef one. The prawn was hands down my favorite with the mayo and Chilli sauce mixed together was bangin I recommend giving it a go.

Our favorite food in Auckland. Had to come here twice on our trip! Went to location in Lorne and the staff was super helpful and informative. The young guys who worked there were super friendly and created a wonderful atmosphere. Gave us great recommendations for our travels. Dumplings were full of flavor. Sesame sauce was banging! Would absolutely recommend for lunch, dinner or a snack. 10/10

UPDATE - thanks Shane for your quick response to processing refund. I appreciated your call and your gesture to make things right. Will come back again :-) Good food but had a terrible service from the Lorne Street branch. I ordered 2 x dumpling boxes (8pc each) via Menulog. I only received one when it was delivered. Called the restaurant and the guy admitted he only put one in the bag instead of 2. He then asked me to process my own refund through Menulog because there is nothing he can do. When I told him there is no way to process refund via Menulog, he insisted there was. I asked him to tell me how but he couldn't tell me. The truth is, there isn't as I checked with Menulog.

I asked him if he can just send me the second box of dumplings that he forgot to put in the bag. And he said he can't do that either!!??? He then asked me for my bank account number so he can transfer the refund. I sure hope I get my refund otherwise I'm never ordering...

First time visiting. I have walked past this place so many times and have always seen long queues. Walked past it again today and there was no queue so I thought I will give it a go.

Their service was warm and lovely. Felt very welcomed.

But the dumplings dont really match my understanding of "dumplings"... I do agree with some of the other posts that the dumplings lacks flavour. And I personally find them to be too doughy for "dumplings"... they feel like pan fried pork buns to me... sadly wont be returning for when I want my dumpling fix... but might consider returning if I ever feel like having pan fried...

-Very delicious!! -The sauce combo Sriracha Mayo & chilli was awesome!! -Beef and cheese + The OG are my favourites!! -Their fries are good too and if I feel like I need the fries, then I just get the regular size + the fries (~Same price) -Service was very good, usually like to online order to avoid any potential queues! -As always anything is good with bubble teas 😉, plenty of options nearby so this store location is perfect!! The Dumpling + bubble tea combo/ pairing is more than I could ask for!!

Looking forward to my next...
