I/we’ve ordered multiple times over the course of a year, yet 2/5 occasions they do screw up the order’s ingredients. I despise sour cream and aioli based sauces, so I remove them. (They’re unnecessary calories and make the food soggy anyway). Yet they tend to leave them in, being unable to follow the instructions. Thus I have to check the items Every Single Time. Being unable to check all the items, like burritos and crunchwraps, it has become like bit of a gamble each time I/we visit. Due to these mishaps, I/we’ve started to visit this place less frequently. Once every 2-3 months. We used to come here at least twice a month, on weekends. My partner used to love this place in Auckland, as compared to it in the U.S, Taco Bell is disgustingly oily and greasy, with very little contents (they have awfully low standards for domestic market)
With these frequent mishaps, have to give the food 2 stars, otherwise it would be 5.
Service 1 star due to the incompetency which didn’t happen ~ half a year ago.
Atmosphere 2 stars, well designed, but could keep the place tidier. Awful lot of dust all over the chandeliers, on top of the cupboards and the screens. In Europe this place would not be operating as we do have very strict standards and regulations. ❗️Having this level of grime and dust is an electrical fire and food...

I ordered at the door (due level 3 lockdown). The young lady took my order and then took my visa debit card to process my paywave payment. She then handed me a ‘food buzzer’
I waited 20minutes…I went back to the door. The girl that had initially served me realised I had been waiting for ages so she sent someone else to talk to me
A young Indian looking guy approached me and asked how he help me? I told him I’d been waiting for ages for my order. There were about 4 workers who were frantically looking at their computer screen for my order
A different worker then approached me and said “Our system sometimes doesn’t work so I need you to pay again as it appears your payment hadn’t gone through”
So I paid AGAIN (after checking my bank it looked like the initial payment hadn’t gone through) and waited AGAIN for my food
My food buzzer finally ‘buzzed after having waited almost 40mins!
The Indian guy walked to the door put my food on the table and walked off saying ‘enjoy your food’ in a rude and angry tone
Not one apology!! No freebies either for the lengthy wait or the mistake they had made! Last and first visit. The place needs better management. And better training towards...
Read moreI placed my order via Taco Bell website & the delivery person never showed up. So I rang up the store, they said the order doesn’t come from Shortland St store (hard to believe) and advised to lodge a complaint through their website. I got a call from their Assistant Restaurant Manager, who I will not name, this person asked me for evidence and made me feel like I was lying about not receiving my order. I emailed all the evidence and was told refund will be given in cash. The refund amount told by the ARM was less than what I paid because the complete order was cut from the mail, again, not my fault (this is how I received the email). I had to figure out a way to tell the ARM how the complete order was still visible, he still could not see it and was rude. When I went in store to collect my refund, the staff their was extremely helpful and they could easily print out my missing order details. I don’t understand how an ARM does not know all this and kept questioning & disbelieving a genuine customer. The managers should know their systems better and not depend on customers to provide details which they can see on their own. Train your...
