Top Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Waitematā

Went back to this restaurant for the 2nd time. Would never go back there again. Nevermind the food is quite pricey, you would think paying for over $50 per person they would treat you better. Just had dinner there at around 7pm tonite (usual dinner time). First time in my whole life I ever experienced a chinese restaurant ran out of rice at dinner time and the restaurant is only about 1/4 full, not so busy. The waiter who is also managing the cashier counter then seem blasé when I asked for a small bowl of rice, waited more than 30mins for that. Then waited about 1hr for roast pork, just a regular dish you can get from any Chinese dine in, all they have to do is chop the roast pork. By the time that came out I already almost finish eating. Also I noticed all other customers came after me have their dishes served first. I don't know why a restaurant would employ such useless employees, they obviously...

When we first looked at the menu, we were quite shocked at some of the prices. The stir fry vegetables seemed extremely high ie $50. Didn’t order it so not sure if it was a typo.

We did order the clay pot of Pork Tripe and Chicken Soup $68 and that proved to be extremely satisfying and would have been enough to fill 2-3 people. The stir fry beef noodle was done really well. Very nicely flavoured and portion size was good. Better to come here with a large group as the servings of vegetables and hot pot ingredients were all really big and becomes expensive if you are only here as a couple.

The most disappointing dish was their steamed oysters. At $10 each, we were shocked to find that they were approximately the size of Maltesers chocolate ball. Extremely small and a huge rip off. Ruined our otherwise enjoyable...

Excellent food Very fast Yes I think they are open till 4am. Everyone else in the restaurant was Chinese Huge servings, one main is enough for 2 or 3 to share. We massively over ordered. Highly recommend the calimari and chilly chicken. I found the price to be extremely reasonable given the portions. One of the best cheap eats in Auckland. Despite the sign on the front they are not open for Yum Cha. My daughter ordered the trio of pork, expecting something a 5th of the size, great roast pork but order it for a table as it needs to be eaten quickly. Recommend you order two entries for 4 people and order one main at a time, it comes super fast.
