Dining at Knowhere Lagos was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The combination of beautiful presentation, delicious food, and a stylish setting made it a standout meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy a special dining experience in Lagos. Amazing staff too. The waiter that served me (Victory) was extra helpful and respectful. Update - Second Visit. I came here again for a dinner. My meal (baked chicken tikka masala and basmati rice) was really good, the masala took me by surprise because i ordered it as an experiment. Good to know it was a pleasant surprise. I couldn’t finish the masala, i had to take the rest home. I went on a weekend, when I booked online, I was informed of the minimum spend which was 50k. I was told the same thing on arrival, and more than twice by 2 different waitresses even though I hadn’t finished my current meal. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a lady and I was alone, but the constant reminders were a bit off. My meal arrived on time, I was in the restroom when they called me to come eat so it wouldn’t get cold. They make really good whisky sour too. They have this really cozy ambience at night, it was difficult to get a clear picture (unless you go to the bathroom, there are mirrors there) but really beautiful ambience, and the live band, what can I say, I thoroughly enjoyed her singing. The restaurant is children friendly, as a really large family dined there too that night. It is also important to read their house rules

Love love love … PROS: this Resturant is so beautiful. It doesn’t look like that from the outside but once you get in the natural light and decor of this place really pops out.The food was soo delicious every single dishes was amazing and well prepared.10/10. They have a large selection of drinks that was soo good I had the know where berry cocktail 10/10. CONS: There was a few things that I didn’t like about this restaurant and that’s why I’m giving it a 4 star 1) the website says it opens by 11 . I got there around 11:30 and I was told that the restaurant doesn’t open till 12 and doesn’t start accepting guest till 12:30. So I had to wait in the car for over an hour which was very irritating. As a fine dining restaurant your suppose to have your hours updated on the website I traveled a long distance to try out the restaurant. That is very unprofessional on their part 2) we were told we couldn’t take pictures around the restaurant we could only take pictures at our seats which I thought was absolutely crazy i went on new years and I wore a nice outfit I was trying to get some pics. I’ve been to fancy restaurants all over the world and was never told I couldn’t take pics . Especially since we were the only ones there and nobody had entered the restaurant I didn’t see a problem. 3) slides are not permitted make sure you wear a shoe (men) Apart from that the place is nice def need to try it out if your in the area

I recently visited a charming spot called Knowhere and had a truly delightful experience. The ambience was absolutely stunning. As we walked in, we were greeted by a beautifully lit space with a captivating blend of Mediterranean and Nigerian tribal aesthetics. It was a visual treat. We were seated promptly despite not having a reservation, which was a lovely touch. We ordered a variety of dishes, including succulent sticky ribs and yam sliders. The grilled chicken with jollof rice and a side of coleslaw was simply divine. The flavors were on point, and everything was beautifully presented. We also tried their mocktails, though there was a minor mix-up with our drinks. The server accidentally swapped our mocktails with cocktails, which was a bit of an issue since one of my friends doesn’t drink alcohol. Although this was not resolved by the manager, he did handle another situation with great care. A staff member had been somewhat insistent about us taking cute pictures, which felt a bit inconsiderate. The manager stepped in to address this issue, and his attentiveness truly showed how much he cares for his customers. Overall, Knowhere is a wonderful place with great food and a fantastic atmosphere. We had a memorable night and left feeling thoroughly satisfied. I’d definitely recommend it!

This place is arrogance and emptiness rolled into one. They act like they’re running a five-star establishment, yet they cannot deliver the most basic standard of hospitality. The staff are rude, untrained, and completely lacking in manners or self-awareness. It’s shocking that a restaurant can exist with this level of mediocrity and attitude.

My wife and I came in on a Monday evening after a long day at work, simply hoping to have a quiet dinner. The restaurant was completely empty. The receptionist looked us up and down and asked if we had a reservation. I said no, it’s a Monday evening, and the place is clearly deserted. Her response? “What if we had an event?” The tone was dripping with attitude and zero courtesy. My wife was visibly irritated. I told her the restaurant was empty, but she just stood there with a blank, dismissive look.

We were eventually seated at a tiny table, even though there were empty booths all around us. When I asked if we could sit at one of the booths, she refused, saying they were “for reservations only.” Reservations for who? There was no one there! Her attitude only got worse from that point. She rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath. I looked around and saw six idle staff members standing around on their phones, completely uninterested in what was happening, while a supposed manager or supervisor was asleep, actually asleep, on one of the couches in the corner. They’re clearly just about collecting your money for nothing, very poor set of uncouth individuals.

At that point, we decided we’d had enough. We left and not one person attempted to fix the situation or even acknowledge us. No apology. No effort. Nothing. They just stared at us and carried on laughing and scrolling through their phones.

It’s experiences like this that make people lose faith in Nigerian hospitality. There’s no training, no sense of customer care, and absolutely no pride in service. This isn’t my first time here, but it will most certainly be my last. The first visit was terrible too, untrained staff, dirty uniforms, and sub par food. Businesses like this perpetuate the narrative that Nigerian businesses have the worst service, they represent this with so much pride.

We left and went to Slice, and the contrast was night and day. Friendly service, professional staff, a warm welcome, and food that actually justifies the price. That’s how a restaurant should be run.

Knowhere is going nowhere. It’s a disgraceful establishment run by people who have no idea what hospitality means. Avoid it at all...
