I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary experience my guests and I had at STOCK restaurant on the 5th of March. My doctoral dinner was an absolute delight, and it wouldn't have been possible without the exceptional efforts of the team of STOCK.
First and foremost, I must commend you on the delectable cuisine that was served. Every dish was a masterpiece, meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. The culinary expertise demonstrated by your chefs truly made the evening unforgettable. Each bite was a culinary delight, and we were left thoroughly satisfied and impressed.
Moreover, I must extend my heartfelt appreciation to your staff for their impeccable service throughout the evening. From the moment we arrived until the final farewells, we were treated with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. The attentiveness and efficiency of your team made the dining experience seamless and enjoyable for everyone present.
A special mention must be made for Patrik, whose assistance in organizing the event was invaluable. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and dedication ensured that every aspect of the evening was flawlessly executed. In particular, an older waiter gentleman who kept on making mistake after mistake after mistake.
First, he was late delivering our menus. We waited too long.
Second, he clumsily pours drinks too fast, smashing glasses on the table. Very inelegant, almost rude.
Third, he took our orders wrong. As a direct consequence, my other half had to wait 8-10 minutes whilst I was already eating my main course. Very awkward and totally preventable.
Fourth, just when you thought it was finally over, he forgot we asked for the bill. Almost 10 minutes after we asked for the bill, I saw him pick up two dessert menus and walk toward us, only to turn back, place the menus back and come back to us with the bill.
That server is what ruined our experience.
We enjoyed what we had of the food, it was delicious and plated very elegantly. The restaurant is beautiful, too. But any positivity was eclipsed and wrecked by the behaviour and manner of that older server.

Beef tartar 🥩, the absolute best beef tartar we had tasted to date. Meat was tender scraped leg meat, paired perfectly with dijon mustard and sour hints from capers.
Crab from Hitra 🦀, its just a mayo based crab salad with baked celery root. With a hint of sourness in the sauce.
Duck hearts 🦆 nice foresty wild flavors with lingon berries. Served medium raw.
Cantarells 🍄 wirh mushroom bulion had a good earthy flavor.
Monkfish 🐟 was a bit undercooked, but I just consider it an accident as taste and flavor was excellent with white wine sauce and trout roe giving a nice texture.
Hallibut 🐟 was perfectly fried and was sauce was good with the paprica cream.
Vanilla tarte was the best dessert i had in a while, baked with real vanilla pods and testure and taste was excellent. Raspberry sorbet gives a nice tartiness and a freshness. Recommend.
