T.G.I. Fridays - City,Oslo — Restaurant in Oslo

A terrible experience - do not eat here, not recommended at all. We (party of two) arrived at around 21:15 and ordered our meal. At 21:28/29 the server comes up and says it is the last call for orders as the kitchen was closing. We ordered corn cobs. The meal arrived at 21:38 (our photos have a time stamp). We ordered two platters of wings and jalapeño poppers, as well as the corn cobs, with drinks on the side. We started our meal only to be interrupted by the server who proclaimed “4 minutes until we close, you have 4 minutes to finish and leave”. Imagine our shock, since we had barely started eating. Why on earth were we not informed that we would only have a short time (in this case: 15 minutes) to eat our meal BEFORE ordering? The server informed us that we had been told that the restaurant closes at 22:00, which was absolutely not the case. We had only been told about the order deadline due to the kitchen closing. There was another table with guests who had also ordered full meals and who scrambled to eat and leave (with food left behind on the table). We were then told that we could box up our meal, which we were trying feverishly to devour (how does one finish sticky chicken wings in a rush??). Take away was not an option at all for us. The server then became intensely “helpful” with her “what can I do to improve this situation”. My answer: inform of closing to customers who arrive after 21:00 BEFORE they place their order. She then proceeded to say we would be reimbursed our meals leaving only the drinks for us to pay (we had barely sipped them) since we were not told of closing, but in the end only wanted to reimburse the jalapeño poppers and corn cobs since we had technically eaten all the food. Or rather since we had been told repeatedly, with a smile (as if that made it better) we were being thrown out. This was a totally unpleasant situation, which could have been avoided if we had been properly informed. We simply would not have chosen to eat here. Will definitely not visit again. We visited this restaurant last Monday,one of the waiter took our order and he told us we need to be hurry because he still have a lot of customers to take orders too,ofcourse it was our first time so its not really easy to decide what foods to order so we quickly choose fridays signature whisky glazed, chicken sandwich, tender chicken,chicken combo and truffle burger.Food was served but not the truffle burger which is my order.I waited patiently because maybe it will just follow for few minutes since we order on the same time.But my friends are already halfway on eating their foods still my food didnt served.I asked one of the waiter not the guy (he is nice)that took our order,i ask him about my burger and he Said i will chicken it in the kitchen,after around 2-3 mins my burger was served, I was shock because the plate was too warm,the burger is too dry,only bacon cheddar cheese and lettuce are on it.But i didnt complain i just eat it and i let my friends taste it to confirmed that my food tasteless and thinking i order the truffle burger didnt expect that it was too dry.Tender chicken for kids are tasteless too,and my pregnant complain about the spare ribbs (meat is dry and taste like been frizen for a long time)Upon paying,i told the guy that took our order that my food was served very late,and it didnt taste good as what the truffle burger is,not even salt and pepper on the Meat.And he missunderstood me about what mean and he answer me back about its not my fault,its in the kitchen.And why i cant get salt and pepper to my food ,if i can manage to get straw for the drink for myself.I am very dissappointed to what this guy is acting towards us and their food,tuffIe burgers in gasoline station taste better.I know its stressfull to work in a restaurant but you choose that work and get paid,so do your work properly.No tips...

When we got their we didn't have to wait more then a few minutes to be seated which I was very nice. The food we ended up ordering was good. Our server didn't know about the daiquiri flavors (even though it says on the menu to ask what flavors they are offering) so I ended up with a strawberry daiquiri that was okey but a little sour for my taste. The thing that made the experience poor was the wait time to order. We didn't even give me the chance to order something to drink while looking through the menu. While I was waiting for a server to take my order I saw people being seated after me getting to order both food and drinks before we go a chance to make my order. After we had finished eating my son wanted a Oreo Madness, and our server took that order while cleaning our table. It didn't take more then a few minutes before my son was enjoying his dessert. After our table was cleaned again and we declined when asked if we wanted anything else, we ended up sitting their for what seemed like a long time while waiting for our check so we could pay and leave. In the end there was a different server that finally stopped at our table and asked if in a very polite and positive way if we wanted anything else or if we were ready to pay.

I'm was a little surprised as I have been to both this Fridays and other ones in Oslo before and the service has always been good even when there have been...
