This is the first time I have ever written a review anywhere so bear with me. I’ve worked as a hostess for over 3 years so I can understand so much of what goes into restaurants, which is why I am very understanding. First of all, I’m American, and as such Norwegian culture / customs is pretty unfamiliar to me, so I completely understand if this complaint is pointless. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and our server was amazing! However, after we had cashed out, my dad and I were sitting at the table talking and finishing up our drinks. A server who wasn’t ours literally came up to our table and told us that they “needed that table”. Point blank. We had been cashed out probably 2-3 minutes (my dad can corroborate this) and legitimately still had drinks on the table. ALSO, not to mention, the only reason we had cashed out was because the aforementioned server, who wasn’t ours, continuously kept coming up to us and rushing us along, and it was her decision to give us the bill, not ours. This could totally be a cultural thing and that’s my mistake. It was not busy at ALL. We were sitting at the exact table we were sat at. If you don’t want two people taking up a bigger table, don’t seat them there when there’s a plethora of other seats available. Rule number 1 of hosting. Their website also boasts about having seating for 150 people and there was barely ANYONE there. It was the middle of the day on a Sunday. Once again, I understand understaffing, having to close off certain tables and sections, etc. So I know it’s not all black and white. Perhaps if we had obviously overstayed our welcome then I would totally understand, but we didn’t. I don’t blame the staff at all because I understand that not everything is in there control, but it was incredibly odd to me. We had just given you guys our business only to be asked to leave like 2 minutes after cashing out while still finishing the drinks that WE payed for? Like I said, this could totally be normal in Norway; however I’ve been to Oslo, Bergen, Voss, Flam, and Gudvangen and I have yet to experience that. My dad and I were also in the middle of an important and emotional conversation and they just made us… leave? Anyways, it was an odd experience and I don’t think I will be coming back here because of it. I genuinely didn’t feel like my service was appreciated and it was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Hard Rock Cafe, and I must say that it left quite an impression. The first thing that caught my attention was the vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The walls adorned with rock and roll memorabilia, the lively music playing in the background, and the enthusiastic staff all contributed to a truly immersive experience. It felt like stepping into a rock concert while enjoying a meal.
Now, let's talk about the food. The burger I ordered was absolutely fantastic. It was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The patty was thick and packed with delicious seasoning, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. Every bite was a delight, and I couldn't help but savor the explosion of flavors. The Hard Rock Cafe definitely lives up to its reputation for serving great burgers.
However, I must mention that the service fell short of my expectations. While the staff members were friendly and welcoming, the service itself was a bit slow and inconsistent. It took quite some time for our orders to be taken, and there were instances where we had to remind the staff about our requests. Additionally, getting the attention of a waiter or waitress proved to be a bit challenging at times. Despite this drawback, the staff remained pleasant and tried their best to accommodate our needs.
Despite the subpar service, the overall experience at the Hard Rock Cafe was still incredibly enjoyable. The lively atmosphere, with its rock music, memorabilia, and energetic staff, created an atmosphere that was both entertaining and memorable. It was a place where you could truly immerse yourself in the spirit of rock and roll while enjoying a delicious meal.
In conclusion, the Hard Rock Cafe is a must-visit for any burger lover and music enthusiast. While the service may have been a bit lacking, the fantastic burger and the electrifying atmosphere more than make up for it. So, if you're looking for a place to enjoy a mouthwatering burger and immerse yourself in the world of rock and roll, the Hard Rock Cafe is the perfect...
Read moreThe atmosphere was great, but the music didn’t always match the “Hard Rock” vibe. They even played some Black Eyed Peas tracks — which I actually like — but… where were AC/DC, KISS, and all the rock legends?
🍔 I’m sure the burgers could have been good, but…
Even though the waitress was very kind and attentive, she misunderstood our order and brought us burgers with vegan cheese instead of regular cheese — which makes a huge difference in the taste and texture of a burger. We only wanted veggie patties, as we’re vegetarians, not vegans. I ordered fries with cheese to eat white it, so they understood I was not vegan, and they were really good.
Also, the regular version of the burger we ordered comes with two beef patties, but we only got one veggie patty. She said she tried her best, which I appreciate — but the price stayed the same.
Please, HardRock Café, read this review and consider upgrading your veggie patties — they really aren’t great. Switching to Beyond Meat patties would take your menu to the next level and align the food quality with your brand image.
Vegetarians deserve the same quality experience as meat eaters — or at least a fairer price. What we had yesterday was quite disappointing. It was my first time eating at a Hard Rock Café, and honestly, I wouldn’t go back if it’s the same next time.
Earlier this week, we had veggie burgers at BlåRock Café, and they were truly amazing. You might want to take a few notes from them to improve your vegetarian options to the level your reputation deserves.
Happily the cocktails, and the dessert were really good, and gave us a good ending.
Thank you for trying, but please, try better.
We paid 1282 nok for 2 burgers with fries, 2 cocktails, and 1 dessert we...
