We found this little gem of a cafe two blocks down the street from where we were staying. The environment is cozy and inviting and the staff are tremendously welcoming and helpful. You do need to find yourself a table first before you can enjoy the fare they have to offer. Their menu is not huge but you should find something for everyone (as it is hand written on a board I suspect it may change depending on what’s available). I opted for the lentil and barley soup, which came with bread and butter. It’s was just what the doctor ordered, tasty, yummy, warming and filling. I also got the local ham and cheese sourdough toast sandwich which was really nice, the ham was on the saltier side similar to a prosciutto but was perfect in this case. The only thing was I ordered too much and should have gone with one of the other so I didn’t struggle to finish it at. Their coffee selection is many and they are so accurate that they weight how much grounds to us to get the perfect pour and to watch the detail they take in adding the milk to make latte art is mesmerising. They will definitely be seeing me again before we leave.

Delicious smooth coffee latte and food! Lactose free milk available for lactose Intolerant people. The omelette is usually served with goat cheese but you can substitute it with ham as I did. It was extremely soft and fluffy served with some syrup on the side - an interesting sweet and savoury flavour. English breakfast was good - they fried up bacon, sausage, onions and potatoes together with two fried eggs served on top. Daily soup was lentils with some root vegetables which was okay, not amazing. All plates were served with their warm homemade bread with rich creamy butter. Yum! I'd highly recommend this place for good quality food and coffee. The only minus point worth mentioning is that the service weren't as friendly and nice as in some other cafes. But again, it's a busy coffee shop which could explain why that's the case.

Ok so I don't like giving negative reviews but I'm giving a negative because it unfortunately outweighs the positive. Great place with great coffee and food, but if you're happy to wait in line with the way their ridiculous service is set up, think again. I mean, no offence guys but your service system needs to be reviewed. It's already a small place and they do not have 1 person at the counter taking all the orders to allow people to move through quickly. You are at least waiting 10 minutes to order your food, the staff are clearly annoyed by the long qeues and people, you can see it on their faces, yet they don't begin to change their system. Apologies but based on the serving, I wouldn't come back. Rather go to another cafe instead. Sorry, lost me.

Busy and lively cafe. Lots of people come here for a quick bite or a nice lunch. Prices for dishes are very reasonable and the portion is of generous size. There are three guest coffees available for hand brew in addition to daily’s batch brew coffee. There are also two kinds of beans available for espresso-based drinks. They have also won two national championship in latte art in 2009 and 2011. Coffees come from the batch brew are not particularly well-made (the coffee beans used are not the cheap kind, so probably just a bad brew batch). I would recommend going for hand-brew (Kalitta Wave) if you have the time. All in all it met my expectations. I would recommend this place for casual dining and for all travellers.

Great coffee and pastry, too bad the staff is too busy to actually pay attention to their customers when they wait at the order counter. Would be nice if they would add more sugar and more cinnamon to their "kanelboller", they felt quite "empty" Once you actually get someone to help you, the service is nice and the coffee is very good. The prices are reasonable and the seating is well placed so that you keep the obligatory social distancing. Overall this is a good place to have a coffee while passing through Tromsø.

Always one of my favorite cafe when I come back to Tromsø. The atmosphere is cozy even when the place is crowded and the service is always perfect. Food menu changes often and it always gives new and delicious experiences with some of the greatest ingredients to be found in Norway. Today we had an amazing sandwich with kraftkar, the blue cheese that was judged last year as the best cheese in the world. Anyway the place is worth a visit, the coffee choices are huge, and the prices are more than fair for being in Tromsø.
