This is the oldest branch, a second branch near to this one is also real, because owner of both shops are sons of the same father (Phajja). Now talking about this branch only, as I've tried only this one. As far as the famous dish (Payeey) are concerned, they are extremely very much overpriced, compared to the quantity you get in return. A medium sized bowl (also called half serving, with 2 payeey) in Rs.900, and the full serving with 4 payeey is Rs.1,800. The taste of soup is good, and of payeey is normal. So I don't recommend this place at all, and you must look for a more affordable and decent place to enjoy payeey. Also the bike parking facility is not good enough. And for cars (😂), you think there is one ?
ALERT ! The waiters are trained to put 1.5 liter water bottle on your table as soon as you settle down. Don't open that large bottle until you are a group of 6 to 7 people. Return that large bottle and order half liter bottles instead (but do the maths, so they don't get expensive than the 1.5...

Read moreI wish I could find a less than one-star-option. Strictly not recommended. There were rumors in the air that Phajay k Payee are Lahore's "tabahkun payee" I mean umda in taste. On the contrary, this place has nothing to do with quality or taste or even with normal food standards. I had a really bad experience over here. They charge me 1080 for a bowl of payee and 5 naanz, and another 400 for halva and 8 phoriyaz. A price too high for a bowl having just bones in the name of payees. Moreover, the sitting place was full with dust and wrappers. Not to mention the drug addicts sleeping beside. Only the phorii was good, halwa is fariighhh. Also, the waiters were too slow and had a PhD in arguing. In short, not a good place too eat. Why don't you visit the nearby food street. There you can find a good seating place and the aerial view of the badshahi mosque from the rooftop of haveli restaurant and sweet tooth restaurant. Don't forget to like my review, if you...
