Junoon Heritage Restaurant — Restaurant in Lahore City Tehsil

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. From start to finish, this was a masterclass in how NOT to run a restaurant.

We arrived for chai and some desserts especially to enjoy the rooftop view of old Lahore. We were seated but after arrival of other guests the fans from our tables were turned away without prior permission or communication. When we insisted on having the fan as well, given the scorching heat of Lahore, and emphasized that we had been seated first and that it was unreasonable to turn it away toward other guests, only then was a new fan arranged. This should have been done from the outset for the newly arrived guests, rather than turning it away from our table as if we were a nuisance.

The food was equally bad. A Sans Sebastian cheesecake was ordered with tea. It was around 1200 rupee for a slice. It was confirmed before placing the order if it would have a nutella topping. Rather than Nutella what arrived at as a stale half slice of a cake with a cheep, too-sweetened chocolate topping that was Nutella. When we asked the server about it he said to speak to the manager, the situation somehow got worse.

The manager came over with the attitude of someone doing us a favor. No apology, no concern—just a defensive rant about how this is nutella as if we never had tasted nutella in the first place. We just paid without touching the food to avoid their condescension, incompetence and their complete disregard for paying customers.

We left without finishing our meals and will never return. Judging by the angry muttering from other tables, we weren’t alone in our frustration.

A few months ago, I visited Junoon Heritage with my friends around 4-5 PM, and it was an amazing experience. The moment we entered, we were impressed by the historical beauty of the place. Its traditional design and ambiance give a true Lahori heritage feel. We chose to sit on the rooftop, and that was the best decision. The view from there was absolutely stunning—the majestic Badshahi Masjid standing tall in the golden evening light, with the lively streets of old Lahore below. The whole setting felt like stepping back in time while enjoying a modern dining experience. Now, coming to the food—it was simply delicious! We ordered their Chicken Sajji, Chicken Karahi, Malai Boti, and Hyderabadi Biryani. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Chicken Sajji was juicy and well-marinated, while the Karahi had the perfect balance of spices. The Malai Boti was something unique and tasted amazing, and the Hyderabadi Biryani had rich flavors with just the right amount of spice. Everything was served fresh and hot, making the meal even more enjoyable. The service was great, with attentive staff and quick serving time. The prices are a bit high, but considering the ambiance, quality food, and breathtaking views, it’s totally worth it. Pathetic restaurant high prices rubbish service Worst experience ever we went for the breakfast with family on a Sunday. They took the order and came back so late about 45 to 1 hour.It was really embarrassing for me infront of my guests but thanks to ALMIGHTY ALLAH it was their suggestion. Actually the food we ordered they brought that food from nearby local food points like phaja siri pae and served that food in their utensils.We were almost 14,15 people altogether.At the end we were so disgusted that we left that place bit before leaving we asked for the bill.they presented the bill bit when I checked it included the food that was still not served to us asked them to correct it then paid it after correction.It was our first and definitely last visit to junoon heritage restaurant.I don’t know about lunch or dinner but the breakfast experience was the worst experience of my life.
