Andaaz Restaurant in Lahore offers an extraordinary dining experience that beautifully combines rich flavors, traditional Pakistani cuisine, and a stunning ambiance. Nestled in the heart of the city near the historic Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort, this restaurant provides not just a meal, but an unforgettable journey through the culture and heritage of Pakistan. The moment you step inside, you are welcomed by a warm and elegant atmosphere that instantly makes you feel special.

One of the standout features of Andaaz is its breathtaking rooftop dining area, which offers a mesmerizing view of the illuminated Badshahi Mosque. Dining under the open sky with a spectacular view of Lahore’s historical landmarks makes the experience truly magical. The setting is perfect for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy an authentic Pakistani meal in an enchanting environment.

The menu at Andaaz is a celebration of Pakistan’s diverse and rich culinary traditions. Each dish is prepared with high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, bringing out the authentic flavors that make Pakistani cuisine so special. Their selection of kebabs is a must-try, with the tender and juicy Seekh Kebabs and Malai Boti standing out as favorites. The Handi dishes, especially the classic Butter Chicken and Mutton Karahi, are cooked with traditional spices that create a perfect blend of flavors.

Another highlight of the restaurant is its extensive range of freshly baked naan and roti, which perfectly complement the main courses. The variety of chutneys and sauces served alongside the dishes add an extra layer of taste that enhances the overall dining experience. For those who enjoy seafood, the Tandoori Prawns and Fish Tikka are excellent choices, offering a smoky and flavorful twist to classic seafood dishes.

The desserts at Andaaz are just as impressive as the main courses. The Gulab Jamun and Shahi Tukray are rich, flavorful, and melt in your mouth, making them the perfect way to end a delicious meal. The traditional Kulfi is another popular choice, providing a refreshing and creamy treat with just the right amount of sweetness.

Beyond the food, what truly sets Andaaz apart is its exceptional service. The staff is well-trained, attentive, and always ready to cater to guests with a smile. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations make the dining experience even more enjoyable. The service is prompt yet unobtrusive, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and pleasant time.

Andaaz also pays special attention to detail, from the beautifully presented dishes to the thoughtfully curated ambiance that reflects the cultural essence of Lahore. The soft traditional music playing in the background further enhances the atmosphere, making it a perfect place for a romantic dinner, family gathering, or special celebration.

Overall, Andaaz Restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s an experience that captures the soul of Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage. Whether you are a local or a visitor exploring Lahore, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic flavors, impeccable service, and an unforgettable ambiance. The views are phenomenal, the main reason I agree to visit this place every time, and also why this place deserves a third star. The food however, is mediocre at best. Not to mention the horrible customer service if you come as a walk in. The music is unnecessarily loud in the restaurant, and annoyingly not Pakistani music. For the ambiance they are trying to create it seems appropriate that they would play soft instrumental sitar music, ghazals or even qawwalis. When we requested to have the volume turned down, the waitress readily agreed, only to have the volume turned up minutes later as if we wouldn't notice. The pappad served as an appetizer before our meal were burnt. From what we ordered, the khatti daal, that had imli added to it was more sweet than tart. The meat in the Kandahar kabab had a potent smell to it. The malai boti tasted more like shish taouk. The naan and parathay I must add however, were decent. To their credit, when we expressed our dissatisfaction at not being seated at a place of our choice, they did serve us complimentary jalebis which were in fact phenomenal. They were remarkably thin and crispy. Unfortunately they do not serve drinks and dessert only, so it's necessary to have an entire meal when you visit. However, if you wish to do so, I'd recommend you make a reservation ahead of time, and request a seat with the better view. At the end of the meal try a teaspoonful of the meethi saunf and meethay anar.

It's been these since years, maintaining a legacy. Standing tall right in front of Shahi Masjid, keeping the taste of desi cuisine and culture of Lahore alive 😋. At the entrance on the ground floor, you find a museum of antique collection very engaging for people to take an interest in historic buildings, galleries, and items. It's a three story building. You may reach to top via lift, which is old styled for one person at at time or take the round stair case. Both are equally interesting experiences. The top floor where food is served offers a magnificent view of Shahi Masjid. Appreciate their hospitality, there is always someone who would receive you and guide you to your table of choice. And yes, don't miss the super cool hand washing service on the table with lukewarm rose water 😀. They offer papar with a mixed blend of chatni's as a starter, which seems like the origin of modern Nachos. Food is traditional and awesome taste, cooked to perfection and served with care. Enjoy your food with historical view and hustle bustle of food street at distance. Tip for solo visitors - Food's quantity and price don't favour solo visitors. They must get a company along.
