Closes much earlier than advertised, ie 9 pm instead of 10 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020. Seen it close earlier on several other occasions. And I have noticed the looks I get from the personnel when I come in there after 8:30 trying to get a beer or two and some food. Leaving $15 on a $12 bill or $20 on a $16 bill isn't good enough, I'd also have to come earlier so they can go home earlier, I guess. Too bad my schedule isn't as s flexible as theirs... Service lacks attention. You'll get your first drink and your food, but after that, there's no waiter to be seen. This has happened on several occasions now and is starting to get annoying. There's one instance where I had to get up and walk to the bar to order a drink. Could happen in a full place, but there were only a few customers here then. The food here is good, I used to really like this place. Not sure what's going on, but it definitely needs fixing.
Hey Mike, just saw your answer to my previous review. Good to hear you're on it, sorry for the downgrade but I've had enough. I'm always polite, always leave a tip, never expect special treatment in return, but the last few times I visited I've been disappointed. Never by the food, only by the service. Hope you get it fixed soon, and yes, I'll be...

The patrons are mostly friendly, retired people from the U.S. getting together to watch sports and support events to benefit the community. The Friday afternoon we were there, the owners Heidi and Mike hosted a dog adoption drive. The dog they're fostering, Weldon, is so sweet and the puppies so cute, I could hardly keep from adopting one of them. They also had free hot dogs that afternoon, which was a nice touch. The staff is attentive and the bar food yummy. We had spicy wings and came back on Sunday for burgers and football. If you're in Boquete and want to catch a ball game, go to Mike's. We'll...
Read moreThe service was excellent but the food was only average. I had the fish and chips and my wife had a hot dog with fries. Although the fish itself was tasty, it was not fried long enough leaving both the batter and parts of the fish too greasy and soggy to eat. The fries on both of our plates were also under fried and lacked seasoning. The place was full of locals really enjoying the live music and with $2 local beer, you can have a good time sitting on the outside patio by the stream. I was impressed that the owner/chef came out and touched tables and there was a lot of cool stuff from around the world...
