Mazatlan Rooftop — Restaurant in San Felipe

I was walking by with my friend and they asked us to come in. Upon entering, there were two empty tables by the water and were told no because it was for 4 people. Usually I would understand this reasoning but when I tell you no one was there, I'm not exaggerating. Only two other tables in the entire place had people sitting at them so we would be their third table. Also, the only reason it was for 4 people is because they smooshed two small tables together. We asked again after sitting for a while and explained we really wanted to be closer to the water and were told by a guy who seemed to be acting as host that he would get in huge trouble if his boss saw that he sat 2 people at a table for 4, so we let it go. About 30 mins later a white couple walked in and were sat at the very table we were told we couldn't sit at. When we asked why they were allowed to sit there and not us, we were told by our waitress that it had nothing to do with whether it was 2 people or 4. It is about who has a reservation and they had a reservation. However, we saw when they asked them to come in the same way we were asked to come in. So we were lied to twice. On top of this, I had the worst drink ever. I couldn't get past 2 sips. When I asked if I could swap it for something else and just pay the difference, my waitress was very rude and told me this wasn't possible. I had to go back and forth with her for a while before she took the drink and brought me a different one, practically slamming it on the table. This place was extremely disappointing, if googled allowed zero star ratings, I would rate them zero stars. We were recruited to come in only to be refused oceanside seats because we were a group of two rather than four despite the fact that the restaurant was empty. Nonetheless multiple groups of two that came after us were seated oceanside upon request; when I asked the waiters about the different treatment, they just shrugged. My friend asked them to switch a drink for her because it was very poorly made, our waitress had a very nasty attitude about it and argued before finally agreeing to change the drink. The service here is abysmal, which is such a shame because the location is actually pretty. We felt so unwelcome and displeased we paid and left without even finishing our drinks. There are way better bars and restaurants in the area.

Este lugar fue extremadamente decepcionante, si Google permitiera calificaciones de cero estrellas, las calificaría con cero estrellas. Nos invitaron a entrar de la calle y nos negaron asientos junto al mar porque éramos un grupo de dos en ves de cuatro a pesar de que el restaurante estaba vacío. While it may be a stretch to call it a rooftop, it is none the less fantastic. First, the view..great skyline view before sunset but honestly it might even nicer after sunset with all the lit up buildings.. second the food..the ceviche was fantastic..we had the Pacific. Id say the best we had in Panama. The tacos and the grilled shrimp fresh, tasty and presented well. The spicy margarita was a perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Finally,.the service was lovely..they put up with my absolutely horrible Spanish with a smile.
