After hours of searching for the best Chupe in Arequipa, (rather, the better part of AN hour and a harrowing experience with another nearby restaurant), we stumbled upon Dimas. The lone waitress warmly accepted us, and served us a pisco sour with a smile (literally). Great Chupe de Camarones, the pulpo was ok, but excellent sauces. Would highly recommend this place for a cool refreshing lunch spot to beat the Arequipeñan heat.

It looked welcoming from the outside, a nice patio and beyond a restaurant. there was no one, and it looked classy so I was afraid food was going to be expensive, but on the contrary, it was amazingly cheap. the service was of very high quality, very formal, and the food was amazing. every little detail was right, also the, less important, side dishes were prepared with the utmost care and attention. If Arequipa didn't have so many amazing restaurants, I would have eaten here...
