Be very careful when booking accommodation with Andean Top expedition!

We've had a really bad experience and it seems that this happens on a regular basis (on the platforms Booking and Airbnb).

The apartment we requested via Booking was not in working order according to the team (Maria and Susy) and they offered us another place which was not at all up to our standards.

In the end we found out that the apartment we originally booked was in fact available but that they rented it out for more money to other people. This has happened in 3 different occasions in the week that we were in Cusco and we have the strong impression that this is regular business for Andean Top.

We have noticed that Andean Top Expeditions has loads of double announcements online, all with a large amount of the same pictures, which in fact come from all kinds of different apartments.

So when you book one, they will just offer you one that they feel like. In our case, they offered us a smaller and way more basic apartment, not up to our standards.

Payments are in cash and afterwards your original booking will be cancelled. See what I mean?

Also, their apartments are ALWAYS available on Booking and on AirBnb, even when they are in fact rented out and occupied by...

I joined the 4-day Collpa de Guacamayos & Sandoval Lake tour with Andean Top Expeditions, and it was an unforgettable journey into the Amazon. The entire trip was very well coordinated, which allowed me to simply enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.

Each day brought something special: the macaw clay lick was truly breathtaking, with hundreds of macaws filling the sky in a burst of color and sound. At Sandoval Lake, we had the chance to see monkeys leaping through the trees, giant otters swimming close to our boat, and caimans resting along the shoreline — moments that felt straight out of a documentary.

The lodges were cozy and clean, offering a comfortable stay while still being surrounded by the jungle. The meals were delicious and plentiful, always fresh and full of flavor. Our guide was excellent, combining deep knowledge of the Amazon with a genuine passion for sharing it.

Overall, the tour offered the perfect balance of adventure, wildlife encounters, and relaxation. I can confidently say that Andean Top Expeditions delivers a truly authentic Amazon experience that I would recommend to any traveler.

They are very kind but unfortunately not at all professionals. I bought a day circuit to go to the Matchu Pitcchu without ticket, they explained to me that more than buying a ticket in Aguas Calientes. I said ok if you are sure I can have a ticket. And arriving at Aguas Calientes the ticket for the Pitcchu matchu was for the next day. They told me that there was a risk ... I had to pay a hotel and the change in the train ticket. They have ever proposed me a commercial gesture to apologize for this mistake not to inform me of the risk. I thought that take the hotel to my office and the amount of the change of the ticket was honest but not as a result this story cost me $ 100 more than expected without an excuse or although!
