What the FIVE STAR EVERYTHING?! I haven't seen all of Cusco in a week, but this place seems like the place that exemplifies Inca-Peruvian culture.

The atmosphere is electric, with highly colorful murals and streamers that instantly remind you of how bright the culture is here. Contemporary music blasts through the speakers as servers dance around each other carrying plates the size of mountains.

When you enter you see a split kitchen - bar where employees work like the ultimate assembly line, each trying to perfect their own particular task. Every dish or drink that waits for delivery makes you want to ask, "what's that?"

The place is packed every day, with a line that stretches down the narrow street at peak hours, and a doorman keeping headcount as the four floors fill up to capacity. It's wild!

The service is rapid, and compliments the kitchen and bar setup on the first floor. The servers offer the menu in English and Spanish, and generally speak both.

Of course, there's the food. They serve large portions of Peruvian favorites. The rice seems to be at another level, making the best fried rice asian dishes duck for cover. Everything fried is done perfectly with a large sampling of potatoes to go along with it.

There's an exceptional list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. The bar serves everything from fresh lemonade to high-end cocktails.

This is probably the best restaurant experience I've had while traveling and it's a must visit if you want to feel like Cuscans...

One month after I left the country, I still think about this place. It was right in this restaurant, I felt so much alive. It was people enjoying their time and food, loud and electric music, and the aroma of fried and delicious food. At a late night in Cusco, where else could be so humble yet so charming, embracing all the locals and tourists? It is such a unique place in my memory, reminding my childhood in a densely populated town. No one was crazy rich, but everyone enjoyed good time with a fresh meal in a late night when...

We stumbled across this place on our first night in Cusco. Two disoriented tourists not knowing much Spanish but want something local to try. So glad we did. Portions here are enormous so bring your appetite. The classic ceviche was the best we've ever had. We saw platters of huge fried chicken pass by going to local family groups. Definitely a local family joint. The wait staff were ever so friendly and caring. Definitely come here for a local experience and great local food.
