Overall a good hostel, with a a lovely breakfast served in courtyard. Egg as you like it, bread, butter, jam, tea and coffee. Could sit for hours if you wished and drink tea and coffee. Rooms around courtyard on ground floor mainly doubles and a few dorms where nice, but rooms on the first floor at front had good bit of road noise and not as comfortable. Super clean, staff clean all day long. Hot showers, good kitchen but wifi hit and miss, although lots of cafes on the street with good wifi. There is strictly no hand-washing of clothes, instead it is requested that you pay them to wash your clothes on the premises but also by hand and dried on the lines they have out back. Overall we found some of the staff to be a little unfriendly, some were great but some really seemed fed up. Majority of guests were cycle tourists during our stay, with bike shop across the road, but seem to be fairly negative reviews on their skills. Either 45 or 50 pesos for double room, so ok value but sure you could find cheaper...
Read moreEnded up staying 3,5 weeks because of its excellent location and super cheap price for a private room. There is a cheap local restaurant called Samaritano 1 minute walking, where you can eat delicious lunch and dinner for 6 soles, both includes unlimited tea, 1-2 plates of soup and a main meal. Highly recommended! What I didn’t like is that the shared bathrooms and toilets were only cleaned every 3 days and they were not even checked if they were left dirty. Shower curtains were dirty, mouldy and smelt bad. Often there was no toilet paper. Rooms facing the road can be noisy. I also didn’t like that after so many nights there they didn’t allow me to late check out for my night bus! Despite the rooms are always empty and not cleaned on the same day when guests leave. I decided to leave 4 days earlier because of this and with a day bus. A bit of kindness goes a long way and maybe not make...
Read moreFor 40 soles we had a private room and shared bathroom. Electrical shower, get hot at a low pressure, but it was OK since it wasn’t that cold in Cusco.
Good location! Nice and friendly people that run the place!
At the breakfast besides the normal bread with butter and marmalade you can also choose between fried or scrambled eggs.
It’s a hostel that always has some bikers (bicycles and motorcycles) and has a good environment.
There is a nice kitchen for cooking, what is a must for the backpackers
Really recommend for those on a low budget! You get more than you expect!
There are plenty of blankets but we prefered to sleep in our sleeping bags because of the weight, we cannot move with so...
