Munay Wasi Inn — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

Munay Wasi had some of the best service I've ever experienced at a hotel. From the moment we arrived we received a warm welcome. We were given coca tea to help with the altitude and our bags were taken to our second floor room for us. Our first morning after arriving I was celebrating my birthday, but I didn't tell any of the hotel staff that and made no mention of it to anyone. However, the staff paid close attention to my passport when we checked in and surprised me at breakfast by singing happy birthday and giving me cake. I was blown away at how they went out of their way. The breakfast is good for a free hotel breakfast. The facility has a local touch that made me feel immersed in the local culture. Plaza de Armas (the main tourist area) was very walkable. Hotel staff was incredible throughout our entire stay and the accommodations were wonderful. They made us feel like family. I would support a local hotel like this 10 times out of 10 over some of the chain hotels you can find nearby. This made our stay in Cusco so much...

We traveled to Machu Picchu for the first time this year. This is technically a 3 star hotel but it should be categorized as a 4 or 5 star hotel. The treatment was amazing, the staff were attentive and the owner was very kind of attentive, as well. We locked ourselves out of our rooms a couple of times (our fault) and the staff were very patient and understanding with that and all of our questions about the area/city/tours. The people who helped us with our bags were incredibly sweet and wouldn’t let us carry our own bags up to our room. Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the shower was nice and hot after a long, tiring day, and the beds were very comfortable! Breakfast had many American options, fresh fruit, fresh coffee, etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Cusco for the first time. Thank you Munay Wasi!

P.s: they also have hot coca leaf tea at the front for those of you that suffer from altitude...

My stay was very comfortable from check-in to check-out. |The staff was very friendly and always greeted me by name whenever they saw me, which made me feel very welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable.||The restaurant usually closes at 9:30 pm, but when I returned from my day tour at 9:28 pm, not only did they accommodate my late arrival, but they also happily accepted my request to deliver my meal to my room. This was a big help since I was too tired to go out.
