Husband is really hungry so we came here upon the recommendations of our hostel. The menu prices looks reasonable. Small pizzas -S/17, medium-S/27-29,large S/31-41. We ordered Chicharron de Cordero (crackling lamb with salad and potatoes) for S/17 and Asado de Alpaca (Roasted Alpaca with potatoes and salad) for S/17.50 at 7:57pm. Ambience: typical local restaurant feel in Cusco. Seats are all bench seats which are good for groups of 4-6. Customer service: We were ushered to seats right away. We were given ample of time to look over the menu before server came back to take our orders. No WiFi here. Kitchen service: The orders arrived at 8:31pm. This is a very slow service as when we arrived most of the tables have received their orders or are leaving. By the time we got our food we were not hungry. Not happy. Portion, taste, and price: lots of meat, but meat is tough, very salty. Salad is actually 2 fresh sliced of tomatoes and the rest are pickled vegetables. Potatoes are fried, but rather than crispy, it is more like it is soaked in hot oil. Overall: price was right, but everything else was not. We are not...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and had a real wood-fired pizza oven, which immediately caught our attention. The crust is incredibly thin—almost like the thinness of a tortilla, though definitely still a proper pizza dough. It gave the pizza a unique texture that worked perfectly. The toppings, from the vegetables to the meat and cheese, were fresh and full of flavor. They also served a small side of spicy salsa to drizzle on top, which elevated the pizza to another level.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole experience even better. We loved our dinner here, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and...
Read moreA solid wood-fired pizza experience. If you're looking for pizza in Cusco, this place is a solid option. It's located within walking distance from Plaza de Armas, and offers a selection of pizzas featuring Peruvian flavors.
The service is up to par, with attentive staff, and they seem to actually check on tables at a higher frequency than most other places.
The atmosphere is pretty mellow, with limited artwork or decorations, and bench style seating. If there is a weakness to the experience, it's that the environment may be a little too underdeveloped, and can make you a bit sleepy after a couple beers and pizza.
Although, the hot chocolate is a seemingly overly bright spot on the menu. So if you're cold and need a pick-me-up, I can strongly recommend hot chocolate at...
