I entered this small restaurant and it was full, so I thought that was a good sign. I waited patiently to be seated, but no one came. In the end, I sat down at the only empty table, which had not been cleaned. I waited for several more minutes to be served. Eventually, a lady came and removed the dishes from the table, but left all the scraps of food that were there too. When she returned, I ordered a grilled chicken breast, which comes with rice, chips and salad, as usual here. I had seen it on the menu board outside. She went away and to my surprise, came back several minutes later with a menu and immediately disappeared again. When she finally returned, I ordered the same thing again. After several more minutes, she returned to tell me that the was no more chicken, so I ordered bistec instead, which comes with the same chips, rice and salad. Eventually, the meal finally arrived. It was unsatisfactory. The beef was tough and full of chewy gristle. A portion of it was inedible. Some of the fries were also overcooked and so crispy that they splintered into pieces when I tried to put my fork through them. The rice and salad were fine. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal and the time that it took from the time I entered to the time the meal arrived was unacceptable. For 22 Soles, I would have expected better. I would not waste my time...
Read moreCame here for dinner with my boyfriend for our first night in cusco and was aware that the prices weren't too bad and we figured we'd save some money for our first day. HOWEVER, the food was horrible. Considering I do not have much trouble with food and I am easy to please... my pesto linguini was beyond salty. It seems as if they added a cup of salt to the water and then another cup of salt to the pesto. Also the garlic bread was not garlic bread. It had a runny garlic sauce and was on soggy bread. My boyfriend who likes salt more than I do said it was extremely salty as well. His meal and mine. Really wish I had good things to say but service was lacking as well. I would stay away and explore other restaurants in the beautiful...
Read moreFirst we were sceptical because they have mexican, italian and peruvian food on there menu which is always weird and not a good sign but we went just with the local plates and it was delicious! Truly authentic peruvian food, made by two elderly locals in a small kitchen in the back :)
A complete lunch menu with a little garlic bread, soup, a main and a dessert/drink is just between 12 and 15 soles, for the quality and amounts very reasonable! We tried the "alpaca a la plancha" for 22 soles (whole plate) and it was delicious meat, definitely try it. The quinoa risotto was also good.
Service was good and they do accept card...
