World traveler here! Just did a hike up Rainbow Mountain through Inka Altitude. I highly recommend after hiking to the top of Rainbow Mountain that you go up the hill on the left to see the incredible Red Valley. In my opinion Red Valley has less prople and much better viewsof bright red and green in the valley below.
They picked me up at 4am from my hotel. Drove 2 hours and stopped for breakfast (included) drove 90 more minutes and stopped again for a washroom break. After the hike you stop half way for a buffet lunch at the same restaurant.
The hike to the top of rainbow mountain iis very difficult to breathe because of the high altitude. Please aclimatise 2-4 days before in the town of Cusco. Hike slow and stop when needed. It's hard to breathe, and a couple of people needed extra oxygen. Highly recommend for a once in a lifetime experience.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFOOD POISONING I booked two tours with this company. I came down with food poisoning from the first tour (food looked suspicious, thankfully I avoided the meat). I was unable to eat or leave the bed for two days, let alone recover for another week or so. As a result, I couldnāt attend the second tour - which I had already paid for.
Despite explaining the situation via text AND in person (with three people - Jose, Christian and Daisy), I was only offered a partial refund for the second tour, even though the illness came from their own service. Note: the refund never came (waited more than 5 business days) and they ignored me when I asked (kindly) about it twice (more than a week later)! Iām disappointed not only by the health standards but also by how the situation was handled. A reputable tour agency would not only offer a full refund but try to compensate for the poor health quality. Please be cautious when booking tours with this agency. The bad reviews are a reflection of how they treat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur guide Jorge and the organization of most of the tour were good. But the textile center we were sent to during the Sacred Valley tour in Chinchero āa living inka villageā was a complete scam. The demonstration was nice but the alpaca products they sold were fake. I was sold a ā100% baby alpacaā throw for ~ PEN 400 (after bargaining) and it turned out to be NOT alpaca & synthetic. It is manufactured in a factory with 1/3 of the price as fair value.
It is a SHAME to see the so called āculture centerā conducting business like this and capitalizing touristsā good heart to support locals and for agencies to send us there.
UPDATE: After I made complaints, the agency coordinated with the Chinchero textile center to give me a refund & return. This gesture was helpful. However, this whole thing created a meaningful hassle to my trip (20 mins late to agreed meeting time + WhatsApp coordination).
The agency needs to be more careful with the commercial partners they explicitly &...
