I recently had the pleasure of staying at Selina Plaza de Armas in Cusco, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This unique and stylish hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Cusco, just steps away from the historic Plaza de Armas. The proximity to restaurants, shops, and major attractions made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The ambiance of Selina Plaza de Armas is one of its standout features. The hostel seamlessly blends modern design with the rich cultural heritage of Cusco. The common areas are vibrant and welcoming, creating a fantastic atmosphere for meeting fellow travelers. The staff at Selina Plaza de Armas were friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make my stay memorable. They provided helpful tips on local attractions and dining options, enhancing my overall experience in Cusco. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor, creating a cozy and inviting space to relax after a day of exploring the city. Selina Plaza de Armas also offers a range of amenities, including a well-equipped kitchen, co-working spaces, and organized activities for guests. The rooftop terrace provides stunning views of Cusco and is a perfect spot to unwind. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or part of a group, Selina Plaza de Armas caters to all types of guests. The inclusive and lively atmosphere makes it easy to connect with fellow travelers and create lasting memories. In conclusion, Selina Plaza de Armas Cusco is a gem in the heart of the city. If you're looking for a unique and comfortable stay with excellent service and a prime location, look no further. I can't wait to return on my next visit to Cusco!

This was my 4th Selina visit and my 2nd longer-term stay at a Selina hotel. I’m hooked. As a solo female traveler, it feels safe, there’s community, creativity, I have the resources to work a full-time job and there’s always something happening. Selina in Cusco is a fantastic place to stay. Add a few extra days not only to see the stunning sites of Cusco but to get to know the local, Selina staff. They’re professional, welcoming and dare I say, a lot of fun! Patti - thanks for the way you made me feel while there. You remember guest names and treated me as more than a “passing tourist acquaintance.” If I moved to Cusco, I would definitely want to hang out! Andrea, Sandra and Laurel (spelling?), I appreciate all your help at reception, making me smile and tolerating my work-in-progress Spanish. Thank you to all of the staff, whether it is for help with tours, serving breakfast, or being great company while bartending. (I recommend stopping by the bar even when it is quiet. It’s an easy way to meet several fellow travelers there.) Finally, thank you Frank (“security y mas”). He’s is a perfect example of the people Selina attracts to work there. Frank offers more than a quick “hello” at the door; he’s initially quiet but a hidden treasure. He’s available to help with some practical aspects of your stay but even more, I highly recommend taking time to talk with him about Cusco. He has a vast knowledge of Incan/Andean culture and the Quechua language that is truly impressive. I loved how he would light up when sharing! So that’s my review/thank you to Selina staff! I highly recommend staying at Selina in Cusco. TODOS LOS DIAS, you will learn and experience something new.

Pros of staying here are mostly location being very close to the main square/shopping/restaurants. They also offer tours through the hotel which is convenient. However, the cons far outweigh the pros. The hotel is extremely loud unless you are lucky enough to get one of the rooms in the back of the hotel. Majority of the rooms you can hear all noise from the lobby which goes on during all hours of the night from people talking, playing music, etc. If you do stay here, make sure you bring ear plugs. I would not recommend using the laundry services here. While our clothes were returned well cleaned, some of the other people in our group had clothes both lost and delivered to the wrong hotel, which caused them to not have any clothes for 3 days when they should have been returned within 24 hours. Lastly, the customer service is very bad, do not expect them to adequately resolve issues for you. When I was originally booking my room 2 months in advance, the website glitched and accidentally double booked me. I immediately notified the hotel that I was wrongly double booked and only needed one room. They told me it was non-refundable, and I had to argue with them in order to allegedly get the room cancelled. I never did get the refund and had to dispute it with my credit card. When I showed up to check in months later, they still had two rooms under my name when they originally told me that it had been cancelled and only one room was reserved. Also, during a massage at the hotel, the massage therapist removed my necklace and put it somewhere that I couldn't see. At the end of the massage, I forgot the necklace was removed and since I couldn't see it, I forgot to ask about it. I checked out the next morning and later that day when I realized the necklace was gone, I sent them a whatsapp message about the necklace and I was told "We have your necklace at the front desk, do not worry." I told them I would be hiking the Inca trail but could be back to get it in 4 days. 4 days later I go to get it and they have no idea what happened to the necklace. The poor girl that was handed the necklace at the front desk was held responsible by management and sent me almost half the cost of the necklace from her personal funds. This seems very odd and unprofessional for a hotel chain that charges a significant amount of money for their rooms to make their front desk employee personally pay me back for this. As someone who has traveled the world and stayed in all sorts of hotels and hostels, I have truly never had an experience like...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The WORST Selina I've ever stayed at for many reasons. In the 2 weeks I was there, there were only 2 activities at the Selina. A game night and karaoke night. When I asked staff where the game night was, none of them seemed to know anything about it, so I wasn't able to go. Selina's pride themselves on the community they build within the hostel with the activities they provide, which did not happen at this Selina. Also, there were many times they just weren't serving food. Once, I asked for a bowl of fruit at like 10:05, but was told that since breakfast had ended at 10 I couldn't get that (which fruit can be eaten any time of the day, not like I was asking for a pancake or something). Okay. So I asked if I could order lunch food, I was told no because lunch hadn't opened up yet. So could I order anything? Nope. Speaking of their food, it made me extremely sick, so much so I ended up in the hospital and had to end my stay 2 weeks early. The day I left I asked the receptionist if there was any way I could receive a refund because of the circumstances of me leaving. I told him if I needed to provide my medical records I would. He did not tell me I needed to provide any records, instead he gave me a number to text. I messaged this number multiple times. I never received any messages back. I stated in my messages to them that I could provide medical records if they needed me to. I then found a customer support email, on my own, and reached out to them. They messaged back and said that this Selina had reached out and asked me to provide my medical records, which they did not do in person or after I had sent multiple messages, and that since the "month had closed out it would be "difficult" to get a refund now." I messaged the day I left this Selina, and again later, not my fault I was never messaged back. Would NEVER recommend this Selina. I know they made double off of my private room too, the 2 weeks I paid for but couldn't be there because their food made me sick, and whoever else booked that room since I was not in it. I have loved my stays at other Selina's, but this one had the WORST customer service and I did not enjoy my time here for the many reasons I listed. I have now also been ghosted by the customer service reps when I sent proof of never being contacted by this Selina about...
