Backpackers Enjoy Hostels — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

Enjoy is located in the lovely Miraflores area- and I arrived at about 1:30 am due to a flight delay and was met by a sleepy staffer who was still happy to check me in and make sure I was set up for the night. While the kitchen is very small for a hostel the atmosphere is energetic and friendly and the morning staff was apologetic about the lack of hot water (it was under repair). They were also happy to let me borrow the phone to set up appointments until I got to the local Claro store. I found the place welcoming and warm, everyone happy to help, there are cleaners making sure it's tidy and nice. You can't ask for much more. I booked it for 9 days, and I am sorry I did that; although the location and basic layout of the building was fine. The TV room and Wi-Fi was good. The kitchen was extremely small, and only 2 of the 4 burners on the stove work, the few pans they have are large so you can only use one burner at a time. The cleaning staff leaves a lot to be desired, my dorm room bathroom went un-cleaned for more than 4 days and with 8 people using it; it was long overdue. When they changed the sheets in the dorm they like to leave the dirty sheets on the bed of one of their current paid person’s bed. The charge for the dorm was $9US, but I will not stay there again. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we ended up staying here for 2 and a half weeks while we sorted some things out in Lima.||We really liked the hostel: good breakfast (coffee with milk or tea or juice, egg, two rolls with butter and jam), good wifi, communal computer, friendly staff, good tv room.
