Total: S/50 for solo dinner (Arroz con Pollo + Ronda Marina sampler + water) Tucked away in the heart of Miraflores, this spot was a gem for my solo dinner. I walked in expecting a decent meal and walked out fully convinced this place gets what Peruvian food is all about — flavor, freshness, and soul. From the moment I sat down, I was greeted with a little bowl of cancha (crispy Andean corn) and a complimentary tasting spoon of ceviche. That touch — humble yet thoughtful — told me I was in good hands. I ordered the Arroz con Pollo, a classic dish that came out with perfectly seasoned green rice, tender bone-in chicken, and that iconic Salsa Criolla (marinated red onion salad) to cut through the richness. Earthy, aromatic, and satisfying without being heavy — this is comfort food done right. The Ronda Marina sampler was a great touch too — two small spoons of mixed seafood ceviche and a shot of leche de tigre that delivered a citrusy punch and left a pleasant fire on the tongue. A mini burst of Peru’s coastal essence. The service? Friendly and attentive. The vibe? Laid-back but not lazy. Ocean-themed decor, good lighting, and a crowd that looked like they knew they came here for something worthwhile. The prices lean on the higher side compared to your average market meal (Arroz con Pollo was S/42), but for Miraflores and the quality you’re getting, it’s well worth it. Portions are solid, presentation is sharp, and the flavors are unapologetically Peruvian. 📌 Would I go back? Absolutely. I’d come back with friends next time, try their Chilcano de Pisco, and work my way through the seafood section of the menu. This place strikes the sweet spot between local flair and a polished dining experience — tourist-friendly but still authentic.

Barra Maretazo in Miraflores is an absolute gem for any ceviche enthusiast! My taste buds were taken on a delightful journey through the vibrant flavors of Peru with their exceptional ceviche offerings. The ambiance at Barra Maretazo is perfect for a casual and enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant has a laid-back coastal vibe, transporting you to the heart of Peru's culinary scene. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, providing excellent service with a smile. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the ceviche. Each bite was a burst of freshness and authenticity. The fish was impeccably fresh, and the citrusy marinade had just the right balance of tanginess. The addition of crisp red onions, cilantro, and a hint of spice elevated the dish to a whole new level. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal on its own. What sets Barra Maretazo apart is their commitment to using high-quality ingredients, evident in every dish they serve. The menu offers a variety of ceviche options, allowing you to explore different flavors and styles. Whether you're a traditional ceviche lover or looking to try a unique twist on this classic dish, Barra Maretazo has something for everyone. The drink menu complements the ceviche perfectly, with refreshing beverages that enhance the overall dining experience. From traditional Peruvian beverages to innovative cocktails, there's a drink for every palate. In conclusion, if you're in Miraflores and have a craving for mouthwatering ceviche, Barra Maretazo is the place to be. The combination of exceptional food, inviting ambiance, and friendly service makes it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. I can't wait to return and savor more of their delicious offerings!

The food was average, I had the pick 2 fish ceviche and calamari and a passionfruit pisco sour. The calamari, when it was served was just warm, not hot as it should be. The cerviche was good but nothing to write home about. I find the restaurant to be highly touristy, the server had was very pushy trying to sell the high priced items on the menu to me. I wanted to order the pisco sour with my pick 2 menu which is a smaller version, which I informed him in advance but he ignored it sold me the full sized one at a more than 3x the price point of the one that comes with the pick 2 menu. The pisco sour that arrived was GIGANTIC (like more than 150 mL) and has more pisco than passionfruit juice. While I would have appreciate the value of the cocktail if it were 9 PM, this was noon when I was ordering. Instead of taking it back, he begged me and said please try. Then brought some tasting samplers and emphasized it’s on the house as if it’s an apology but everyone gets them. So, the service ruined it for me. The food was average. And I’ve had better pisco sour in Lima.

Cevichería Barra Maretazo in Miraflores offers an unparalleled dining experience. This place stands out.

My party ordered a combo. The Ceviche mixto burst with fresh, vibrant flavors. Each piece of seafood was perfectly prepared. The arroz con Mariscos was rich and savory, packed with tender seafood. The house drink complemented the meal flawlessly. This entire combo, offering such high quality, would easily cost three times more in the U.S.

The food's taste, quality, and presentation earned a perfect 5. Every dish was a work of art. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite.

The restaurant's ambiance is equally impressive. The decor creates a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere. The place was spotless, reflecting high standards of cleanliness. These elements combined for a perfect 5 rating on atmosphere and hygiene.

Our server, Sergio, provided exceptional service. He was genuinely friendly and incredibly attentive. Sergio anticipated our needs without being intrusive.

He offered insightful recommendations that enhanced our meal. His knowledge of the menu and commitment to guest satisfaction were truly remarkable. Sergio embodies what 5-star service means.

I wholeheartedly recommend Cevichería Barra Maretazo. It exceeded all expectations. I will definitely come back to...
