The Good: The pisco cocktails are delicious, a bit pricier acceptable. There's plenty of choice.

The really BAD :( We asked 2 ceviches, they waiter asked if we want it low, medium or very spicy. As usual, we want the real thing, i.e. we order it very spicy. Words can describe our disappointment when we tried the ceviche, in the scale from 0 to 10, it was 0 spiciness. We complained and they told us that they run out of hot peppers (????? in Perú, a kitchen with NOTHING spicy in store, really ???? ). We felt scammed. If the kitchen was not able to prepare the dish we asked, they should have come forward, be honest and tell us about it before just serving us a substandard dish. We had a wonderful bar experience after exploring Lima's historical zone. The drinks were ordered were cool, refreshing, and bursting with the flavors of various herbs and spices. Our mixologist Leo explained the available options and provided excellent recommendations. For the first round, we ordered a Dona Lucha and a Marticha. They were both a 10/10 and the flavors teased our flavor palates. For the next round, we ordered Pisco Sours, one infused with purple corn and the other with black lemongrass. They were equal in flavor to the first two and highly unique. While some have mentioned the tourist prices, it is to be expected in that area of Lima and still less expensive than your most casual bars in the United States. The Museo del Pisco in Lima provides excellent drinks and food. I came here with my family and we were warmly greeted. The staff provided additional seating for us and great service. I had the lomo saltdo that was good and my family enjoyed their dishes. However, the highlight was the pisco cocktails and we tried different varieties that were outstanding. Pisco puts people in a good mood and there was a happy vibe in the venue. It was an enjoyable afternoon and the happiest lunch we had in Lima. The venue has a cosy traditional decor with tightly packed seating. It is a little dark inside, but the main light comes from the entrance that looks out into the plaza.
