Teppanya — Restaurant in Angeles

My go-to place for special occasions!

Food was served fast and efficiently, very organized cooking by the chef. The service was superb, both by the wait staff and the chef. I was reluctant to try this branch because of mixed reviews in google maps, but I’m glad I had a great experience here.

First, our orders were served promptly, including water and soda refills. The waitstaff were very polite, from the kimono-wearing lady to the waiters and chefs. Everyone greeted us with smiles and they were very accommodating. I guess it helped that we went there on a weekday, and not on rush hours or holidays.

Second, we were quite disappointed when the salmon sashimi, my hubby’s favorite, was not available. However, they made up for it when the seasonal items were available and especially the seafood, like the Aklan scallops mussels (yum!!!), the tiger praws and giant prawn. I know seafood can be quite expensive, particularly for those who have experienced eating in baclaran and macapagal dampa seafood places where you get everything per kilogram. Here, with this unlimited madness promo, we get all the seafood we want and it was so worth the price. The brazilian rib eye steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare with perfect consistency. We stuffed ourselves silly until we eventually asked the chef to cancel our other orders (cause we ordered too much, we certainly overestimated our eating capacities!).

Lastly, the waitstaff paid particular attention to us, offering to refill our drinks before they even ran out. I guess this is one of the major differences from their other branches in north edsa and moa. They offered options for desert and they have ice cream as well. My whole family enjoyed.

Special mention: surprisingly, the restaurant was also kid-friendly. They had high chairs and took special pains to place my son outside the line of fire for safety reasons, and beyond the grill to the least heated area. Extra spoons were offered when my kid dropped them repeatedly.

My mom and I went to a teppanyaki restaurant for the first time to celebrate Mother's Day. We couldn't celebrate yesterday because I had work. Unfortunately, our day was ruined because of the poor service we received. We had expected good service, but it turned out to be terrible.

My mom wanted to have salmon or tuna, so I asked the person taking our order if they had any available. To our disappointment, she said they didn't have either and insisted that we order steak, which was irritating because it wasn't what we wanted. My mom had her heart set on having salmon. While we were eating, we noticed another customer being served salmon, which felt disrespectful and frustrating for us.

At that point, we lost our appetite, and to make matters worse, the food that eventually arrived was not what we had ordered. We had to ask about the missing dishes, and fortunately, the sushi chef named Arjay was kind enough to help and make sure we received the correct order.

I'm grateful that at least one staff member, Arjay, showed a good heart and provided equal service to the customers. However, the other staff members ignored us and seemed to prioritize those who had ordered the unlimited option. I hope you won't encourage suggestive selling to your staff until they know how to treat all guests equally. I'm sorry to say this, but it was the worst dining...

The food quality was good - for what they had in stock. Sadly, there was no Salmon, Wagyu or Foie Gras when we visited, but everything that was available (and that we ordered) was amazing. Kudos to Felimon for the great show while cooking all of the Teppanyaki orders!

The ambiance of this place can get quite noisy given that the Teppan chefs utensils keep clacking on the stainless steel grill. Conversation can get quite loud as it's a small space, but not to the level of annoyance.

This is a place I would definitely come back to...
