The location of this hotel is fantastic, a few minutes walk from El Nido beach and restaurants and they offer a good included breakfast was lots of options. Unfortunately that's as good as it gets. |The rooms are small, the AC is very loud and the bathroom not great. The tap in the sink didn't work and the shower only worked some off the time. |We booked Tours A and B with the front desk. We did Tour A first with some other guests and Tour B we happened to be the only ones who had booked from the guest house that day. As before we were shown to the beach and told to wait for someone to arrive and tell us what boat we are on. After 30mins a big tour showed up and we asked the Guide if we were part of his group and he said that we weren't. We went back and asked are we meant to be waiting this long and someone came to help. After waiting almost 2hrs on the beach, rental snorkles in hand and watching everyone else get on boats and leave... we were eventually told there were no Tour B boats and did we want to do another tour. We did not, by this point I felt like a bit of an idiot and just wanted to get of the beach. We did get an apology but no real explanation to what had happened (I suspect they left us in the wrong part of beach near Tour C pick up) and if we didn't go find someone we would of just been left there. |When we arrived there was no towels in the room, so we went and bought some only to be given some by the staff x2 days after arrival. |They also advertised they did laundry, but they don't. |All in all, if you have more money, stay somewhere else. I feel I would of been more forgiving for small things if they didn't make us miss doing a tour, so if you do stay, perhaps book your tour with an actual...
Read moreAwful experience, poor customer service - turning off WiFi for no good reason.
We just got off the ferry in El Nido. It was pouring rain and we were looking for a restaurant with WiFi. We asked the receptionist at Austria’s Place if they have WiFi he said yes but you can only use it if you order food. We said okay show us a menu. He told us the restaurant is upstairs. We walked ourselves up to the restaurant and never got a menu and no one was up there to take our order. We sat our luggage down and started to use their WiFi. Five minutes later we see the receptionist unplug the Ethernet cable and turn off the WiFi in the entire building (even their hotel guests were disconnected from WiFi). He didn’t even say anything to us as he turned off the WiFi. We asked him if we can eat and he just waved and walked away. No one offered us a menu and no one even talked to us, they just tip toed around spying on us while one man even made himself some eggs. This place is awful, they have the absolute worst customer service and they are just rude! I would not recommend going to this restaurant let alone staying as a guest in their hostel. Worst experience of El Nido.
Tip of advice learn some communication skills and customer service etiquette and basic manners, or get a new job because the restaurant and hotel businesses only survive if you have good customer service.
Thank you...
Read moreWe stayed in a family room for two nights. The surroundings of the place were average, not very lovely in ambiance. But this was understandable because it was a budget hotel. It wasn't located in front of the oceanfront but it was a short walk from the shore. ||||The room was not favorable. The sheets were still slightly wet and the towels were clearly old and have been used and washed again and again. There was dripping water from the ceiling every time it rained hard. There were no free toiletries given. However, their breakfast was satisfying, especially when we ate banana pancakes. There were plenty of options to choose from and their food presentation was great. ||||The staff were alright and somewhat accommodating. One even helped a foreigner to his room when he was a little drunk. They also were very helpful with getting tricycles for our trip to Nacpan Beach and looking after our things when we left them. The location of the place was somewhat good, because it was near plenty of restaurants and shops that we could just walk a mile instead of riding tricycles.||||The place was more or less okay. But I wouldn't stay there again unless for the sweet breakfast experience. If you ever have a tight budget however, this is the...
