If you are in the Philippines or in El Nido, from my experience there aren’t places where when paying bill you find out that there is 20% service charge. I think this is deceptive to superficially present prices to be lower, especially that it isn’t some kind of premium service restaurant. On top of that the food is really very basic. I got beef tapa which was small piece of beef quite chewy, to that I got cup of rice, 1 fried egg and 1 tiny banana. We came across Template. 2 nights in a row, around 7pm, it's fairly quiet and we got seated and seen to immediately. The service was brilliant, really friendly and polite and the prices are good for the quality of the food. Chicken adobo tasted terrible. Fish and chips: fish had a bizarre texture and fries were soggy and oil soaked.
