The service at Hussein’s is truly 5 stars The male waiter Chris was absolutely fantastic really liked his style The wine was nice Now for the food The shish kebab was a huge letdown The rice was undercooked and lacked any authentic flavour The lamb was just hanging there with a strange texture almost like eating raw flesh So I decided to give them a second chance and ordered the beef version of the same dish And then the beef arrived Completely undercooked Raw in the middle like they didn’t even try Just look at the picture No care for proper cooking no respect for the customer At this point it was clear that attention to quality is not a priority here The whole experience cost me 2000 pesos and I genuinely wanted to give them a fair shot but it was disappointing all the way through , no design the 770 dish look just so sad and so messy , the incompetent chef didn’t even bother to make it nice. It seems that finding truly authentic Middle Eastern food in a restaurant setting is becoming impossible No matter how upscale the place tries to be it often feels more like a business transaction rather than a passion for good food Perhaps the only way to experience real flavours is through a home-cooked meal made with care and tradition Because in places like this you are more likely to be served something rushed and uninspired rather than something that honours the cuisine The highlight of the visit was Chris His service was impeccable but unfortunately great service alone can’t make up for poorly prepared food Ps : I specifically asked for everything ti be well done and skip the salads for hygiene purposes

I had an absolutely phenomenal dining experience at Hossein’s Persian Kebab in Greenbelt 3, Makati, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance transported us to a world of Persian charm, with elegant decor and a cozy vibe that’s perfect for any occasion—whether a family celebration or a romantic dinner. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. The food was nothing short of spectacular! The lamb and beef kebabs were grilled to perfection, bursting with authentic Middle Eastern flavors and paired beautifully with fragrant saffron rice. The lamb yakni soup was a comforting highlight, rich with traditional spices, and the mazzeh starters were a delightful way to kick off the meal. Every dish felt like a tribute to Persian culinary heritage, crafted with care and high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, and the presentation was impeccable. The outdoor patio seating added a special touch, with romantic lighting and a relaxing atmosphere that made our evening even more memorable. Despite being busy, the service remained top-notch, and the staff’s attention to detail—like ensuring our needs were met without being intrusive—truly stood out. Hossein’s has mastered the art of blending authentic flavors with a modern dining experience, making it a must-visit gem in Manila. Five stars all the way—I’ll be back soon

Hossein’s at Greenbelt holds a special place in my heart. It’s the first restaurant my then-boyfriend, now husband, introduced me to their cuisine. Back in the day, when my friends and I would fly to Manila from Cebu to party, we’d often visit Hossein’s as a group. To be honest, I wasn’t a fan at first. But everything changed during my second visit when I tried Ghormeh Sabzi and the Beef Sultani. Since then, these dishes have become a staple in my life, whether I’m in Toronto or Makati. This time, I ordered my usual Ghormeh Sabzi, Beef Sultani, and added hummus with salty doogh. The hummus was perfect—smooth, balanced, and served with warm, soft pita bread. The Ghormeh Sabzi had a tangy note that my husband and I don’t love, but I still enjoyed it enough to order it every time. The star of the meal was the Beef Sultani; the beef was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and the accompanying Chelo Koobideh was grilled to perfection. The doogh was delightfully salty and incredibly refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. The ambiance of Hossein’s is stunning. While I’ve never been to Iran, the décor gives me a sense of its magnificence; quiet, beautiful, and serene. The service was equally impeccable, with the staff’s warmth adding to the overall experience. 5/5—Hossein’s will always be a place I come back to. Highly recommended!

Amazing food. Horrible customer service.

The first time we ate there, we ordered a sampling platter for appetizers. While there was still a lot on the platter, with many of us still visibly eating, they took it without asking if we were finished. We thought they were just going to transfer it to smaller plates for when the main course arrived, but we never saw the samplers again. Moreover, the service is slow despite not having many customers. A friend from Saudi Arabia that we dined with even commented, “Why are they so lazy?”

During the second time, there was a hair found in our dish! We told a waitress immediately and she just took it back with a nod. No apology, no other words — nothing! We thought they would give us a new dish, but there was nothing. Usually when this type of situation happens in any decent restaurant, a manager would come out, apologize, and make a new dish. However, none of that happened. When we followed up on the dish with hair—they said they threw it. It was only us getting angry and requesting a fresh dish that they offered to make one. Since we were in a rush, we requested it to be to-go. But lo and behold when we got home—the dish was in a small container! Not even half the size of the original dish. Was this someone else’s left overs or what? We were left beyond insulted.

Never again! The disappointment of the customer service made the experience nothing but absolutely appalling! The standards never even reached the bare minimum of basic etiquette! They were plain rude.

Just order the food online. The food was great, but the absolute nightmare of horrible customer service is...

I recently dined at Hossein’s Greenbelt, and I have to say that while the food and atmosphere were pleasant, my experience was tarnished by what happened with my credit card. At the end of the meal, I handed over my card to pay, but instead of bringing the card terminal to my table, the server took it to what seemed like their back office(or somewhere else - but definitely out of our sights). I didn't think much of it at the time as we were celebrating my mom’s birthday, but in hindsight, I wish I had.

A few days later, I was notified with some fraudulent charges on my credit card. These transactions occurred after my recent visit to Hossein’s Greenbelt, leading me to suspect that something might be amiss with how they handle credit card payments. I don’t mean to accuse but the only previous time I used my credit was with this dinner we had in this restaurant(with the situation above). I have since contacted my bank to resolve the issue, but I felt compelled to write this review as a warning to other diners.

This isn't just a simple mistake; it's a serious breach of trust. If you're planning to visit Hossein’s Greenbelt or any store for that matter, I urge you to be vigilant with your credit card. Ask them to bring the card terminal to your table or consider using cash instead. To the management, I hope you'll take this issue seriously, investigate what's going on, and ensure that your customers' financial information is safe. Trust is crucial in any business, and I'm hoping you'll take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening to...
