I would like to share my recent disappointing experience at Mama Lou’s Ayala North Exchange branch. My friends and I were looking forward to enjoying a nice meal, but unfortunately, the dessert we ordered completely ruined the experience.
We ordered a slice of cake, expecting the usual high quality that Mama Lou’s is known for. However, the cake we were served was incredibly hard, as if it had been sitting for days. It was dry and tough, making it almost inedible. This was far from what we expected, given the premium reputation of the restaurant.
We brought this concern to the attention of the manager, hoping for a resolution. To our disappointment, the only option provided was a discount on the cake. While we appreciate the gesture, it felt like a minimal effort to address what was clearly an issue with the product’s quality. A fresh replacement or even a more sincere acknowledgment of the problem would have gone a long way in making us feel valued as customers.
This experience has left us questioning the quality control at this branch, as well as the commitment to customer satisfaction. We hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that such incidents do not happen in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope improvements can be made to uphold the standard that Mama Lou’s...
Read moreThe truffle pasta is a must try. I been to Mama Lou's on 2 separate occasions. The food is a bit on the expensive side but the portion size is adequate. The drink prices is essentially robbery. A 6 pack canned coke product is around 25 to 40 pesos yet they charge 110 pesos. That's a bit ridiculous in my opinion. Most restaurants on average mark it up to around 80 pesos which is still a lot however 110 is just insane.
My second visit the cups were extremely dirty. And a lot of options such as the Strawberry shake never seem to be available (2nd time this happened.) A few dessert options was also unavailable, the Gelato as well as the canoli. Due to the machine being down a few entrée options was unavailable also.
Menu items should be removed if there are issues keeping them readily available. Also for reference I visited the restaurant around lunchtime. The restaurant opens at 10am. There should be no reason for stock to run out in 2-3 hours of opening. Consistently at that.
If you can manage to order what you want then the food is fresh and delicious. This location happens to often have people hosting business meetings or performing remote work here as well so it can be a bit loud at times. It's a toss...
Read moreSecond time visiting this same branch but this time it is VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTING. We came to the restaurant on a Friday, Sept 13, around 12nn. Noticed that there’s not a lot of people yet so we opted to eat here. We ordered meatballs as appetizer, pasta, tuna belly and pan seared salmon, plus drinks (Coke and cafe Americano). We were patiently waiting but noticed that it’s been more than 20 mins already and the drinks still haven’t been served yet so we had to follow up.. multiple times. Coke was finally served but not the coffee. So we had to follow up again. The server (Angel) kept saying it’s still being made. Like how long does it take to make a cafe Americano and after several follow ups? To our dismay, we ended up cancelling all our orders and just paid for the Coke that was served because: (1) the service was super slow, (2) the food has been taking more than 40 mins but nothing was served at all even the appetizer, and (3) no intervention or any courtesy from the on-shift manager to help rectify the situation.
Super frustrating experience and not worth coming back to...
