Servers were polite but quality of service they provided was terrible. First, it was so difficult to flag down a waiter. It wasn’t even crowded, maybe only half capacity but for some reason the waiters were always out of sight when usually the ones not actively serving are on standby at the bar. We were very puzzled because they weren’t at any of the other tables either so who knows where all of them were. Our orders also came out extremely slow. Our appetizers took well over 30 mins while the tacos took over an hour and they didn’t even serve them at the same time so by the time all of us got our food, half of us were already finished eating. The waiter who served us our first round of tacos also didn’t seem to know what he was doing. He just put the food in front of us then when we asked which was which, he mumbled so softly that no one heard him so we just had to guess. It was even difficult to have our water refilled because we couldn’t find a waiter and when we did ask one, she forgot to bring water the next time she came around. All the food we had was good but it was a shame that the service made our experience fall flat especially since we went there because of a friend’s...
Read moreFor a bar like this I expected way more. Right from when you walk I. They have a dress code for which they turned down my colleague. He had to wear shoes and come back in. Later on we realized there were other people there sitting in flip-flops. If they have a dress code, I expect their service to be of proportional quality. It’s unfortunate because the staff are polite but they don’t seem like they’ve been trained to work at a bar. They didn’t know what drink I was talking about (when ordering a scotch). When I asked for one ice cube I got a glass filled with ice. They changed it but came back to me with a shot of scotch with a giant ice cube (like In an old fashioned). They diluted a good scotch with a giant ice cube. Then I asked for another because it got heavily diluted by the first sip. To which they eventually gave me a neat scotch (upon asking). I think the staff need to be trained. Drinks are very mediocre. View on the rooftop is...
Read moreI stayed at the Fairmount from Mid February to mid March 2024, 26 days total while spending maybe 11 nights at the Mistral rooftop patio. I would like to send a special thanks to Rose who provided exceptional service at my table throughout the majority of the 11 nights I was at the rooftop. She is the only server who provided large single ice cubs for my bottle whiskey which is standard for high end cocktail bars. Her attention to detail and professionalism is nothing short of outstanding. Rose even brought me a cigar ashtray without me asking, very classy.
Special thank you to Roxanne who was the evening manager on the majority of nights I was there. Dispite some miscommunication with the hostess in terms of reservations Roxanne resolved any and every issue in timely manner while providing alternative options for me and guests.
Thank you Rose and Roxanne, Raffles is very lucky to have you...
