Pepper Lunch Greenbelt 5 — Restaurant in Makati

Pepper Lunch is an affordable restaurant with good quality food.

Location: The restaurant is on the 1st floor of Greenbelt 5, Makati. It is very close to the entry point making take out option a lot easier.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is like a big L. After entering through the gate, the reception/counter is at the right. There are seating arrangements for 4-8 persons. There is one feedback form on the table too. It's good for a small family outing or quick office lunch.

Food: The food is amazing. I tried their jumbo beef. It's usually served with rice and corn. It's a perfect meal for one person both for lunch and dinner. I also tried the steak. The steak lacked a bit of seasoning and the cooking was not homogeneous. Overall texture, tenderness was good enough.

Service: The receptionist/staff were all very helpful. They are probably a bit undertrained and serve everyone the same way. One example is: they didn't provide any knives for the steak.

Overall, I would say that it's affordable, clean, and the staff are all helpful.

The food is okay compare with the price.but the staff who ordered the food need more training. Firstly when you wait on the line the guy just ask you if you take out ? Seriously? It is not the best way to taste the food .Then when you order he just want to to upgrade the plain rice to the mixed one, but I only like the plain rice and after you finish the order ,he continue to ask you twice about the drinks ,it is so tired to talk with the Order man and refuse him again but when I pay for it the cashier check my order and confirm if I order the mixed rice, I just want to order the plain rice and talk to the cashier I thought finally I finished my order and when I paid and check my bills they still charge me one mixed rice.Oh my god .what happens? it is really speechless,I hate the unnecessary talks...

Pepper Lunch is a tried and tested 'classic' choice, often for workday lunchtime and when we crave MEAT! This branch is about 10-15 mins walk away from office so very convenient. Ask for a table near the windows to have a good view of Greenbelt's koi pond and greenery. 🥩

Can be a full house on weekdays and paydays, so come early. Their order taking and table finding process is effective, and the crew are friendly.

The cooking style on hot plate is always an experience in itself. Most people, like my friends, mix meat with rice but not me. I prefer 'cooking' with rice in the middle and lots of sauce all over.
