Lusso in Greenbelt, Makati, is known for its sophisticated ambiance and the culinary expertise of its acclaimed Asian female chef. My recent visit left me with mixed feelings, as while the service and setting were exceptional, the food did not quite meet my high expectations. One of the standout aspects of Lusso is its elegant atmosphere. The restaurant exudes a sense of class and sophistication with its classic decor, plush seating, and refined details. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner, a business meeting, or any special occasion where you want to enjoy a touch of luxury. The service at Lusso is excellent. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted warmly by the staff, who are attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make your dining experience as pleasant as possible. They are quick to respond to requests and provide insightful recommendations from the menu, adding to the overall positive experience. The food at Lusso, while presented beautifully, fell a bit short of my expectations. As a fan of the renowned chef behind the restaurant, I was excited to taste her creations. However, I found the dishes to be somewhat lacking in flavor and depth. The quality of the ingredients was apparent, but the execution did not quite capture the passion and creativity I had hoped for. The dishes were good, but I felt they could have used more love and attention to detail to elevate them to the next level. Despite these reservations, there were still some highlights on the menu. Certain dishes did stand out, showing glimpses of the chef's talent and potential. However, the overall experience left me wanting more in terms of taste and innovation. In summary, Lusso in Greenbelt, Makati, offers a classy and elegant dining environment with top-notch service. While the food is good, it did not fully live up to my expectations given the restaurant's reputation. With a bit more focus on flavor and creativity, Lusso has the potential to deliver a truly exceptional dining experience. For now, it remains a beautiful spot to enjoy a refined meal, but I hope to see more passion and depth in the dishes in the future.

Food was ATROCIOUS. By far, one of the worst tasting Italian restos here in the metro. Here’s what my date and I ordered: (forgot the names, sorry) APPETIZERS: ⚪️ Asparagus wrapped with some type of coating - 3/5 : edible but not spectacular ⚪️ Salmon with cream cheese - 3.5/5 : best thing we ate on that day but I wouldn’t go again just for this ( On the last piece I ate, there was a piece of plastic in it. Thankfully the servers handled it pretty well) SOUP: ⚪️ Lobster Bisque: - 1/5 : It was edible but my date was highly disappointed. The soup was too starchy (?) It tastes like it’s full of “gawgaw” and not like the actual legit lobster bisques we’ve had ( I am Angus has good lobster bisque) MAINS: ⚪️Truffle pasta (the one with green noodles) -0/5 If I were Italian, I’d be insulted. It was the SOGGIEST pasta I’ve eaten and the noodles seemed like they were cut up ⚪️ Steak with cheese sandwiched in between the meat (didn’t get to picture anymore, we were way too disappointed with everything and just wanted to leave )- 0.5/5. We asked for medium rare but it was soooo dry, the only saving grace was the cheese. It was as hard as a brick. Our total bill was 5k ++ borderline 6k. Tbh, I’m surprised this restaurant has so many good reviews. Don’t be fooled by them. The quality of the food is definitely NOT WORTH IT for its price. It’s a pretty place with bad food. DO NOT GO.

Visited in April. Philippines. Makati. Not a bad place, we visited a couple of times for lunch and were quite satisfied. The restaurant itself is small, with only a few tables, most of them outdoors. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is pleasant, with a bright and cozy interior. Food: I must mention that they offer a very diverse menu featuring both brunch options and main courses. We sampled several dishes across various categories, while nothing particularly stood out, everything was enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed their omelettes, which were well-prepared, accompanied by flavorful sauces, and quite satisfying. The shrimp thermidor was also a highlight, featuring large shrimp in a creamy cheese sauce. Rich, creamy, and delicious! However, the burger was a letdown; apart from being challenging to eat due to its unusual shape, the meat quality was subpar with visible veins. The addition of piece foie gras inside the patty felt out of place. Overall, burgers don't seem to be their strong suit. The king sandwich was decent, but lacked a depth of flavor, despite being generously filled. The bread slightly fell apart and was not the most convenient to eat. Conclusion: Overall, not a bad spot. We enjoyed our breakfast visits, and while there's room for improvement in enhancing the flavors, it's still a decent place worth checking out.

I had a rather disappointing experience at this restaurant. The waiter's choice to serve cutlery from behind me was awkward and uncomfortable, forcing constant body movement, disrupting conversations. Additionally, the food quality didn't justify the prices; my pasta, despite requesting al dente, was overcooked. Overall, the dishes lacked any distinctiveness. I expected more for the price paid.

To add to my disappointment, the chive mousse with nomad caviar was a letdown. The mousse tasted strongly of margarine, overpowering any delicate flavors of the caviar. The excessive use of margarine in the dish masked the supposed highlight, making it an unsatisfying culinary experience.

Furthermore, the unprofessionalism continued as I observed the waiter chatting on the phone right in front of the customers. This not only disrupted the dining atmosphere but also reflected a lack of consideration for the patrons. Such behavior detracted from the overall dining experience and left me with a negative impression of the restaurant's service standards.

I was dismayed to find that the large mirror above the dining table was unclean. This oversight in cleanliness detracted from the overall ambiance. Attention to such details is crucial for maintaining a satisfactory environment for customers.

While my experience was marred by various issues, it's worth noting that the restaurant's location and interior design are commendable. The pleasant setting and appealing design contributed positively to the atmosphere. It's just unfortunate that these positives were overshadowed by the service and low...

The sign on the door is small and easy to miss---unless you know where it is, you're bound to miss it. If you can't find the place, look for Myron's, instead. Lusso is located right next door.

The restaurant's location is just about perfect, however, located close to one inside corner of Greenbelt 5, close to the Ayala Museum and overlooking the mall gardens.

It is divided into 2 sections---a smallish airconditioned indoor area, and a more spacious smoking area outside. The interior area seats a mere 22; there is space for another 25 diners outside.

There is a distinct air of refinement about the place, and the crowd that goes there is generally quiet and urbane. In the evenings the restaurant is tastefully lit, looking very posh and upmarket.

From a 2-sheet short-order menu, Lusso's dining options have grown to fill 5 pages, and it now has a full range of meals to suit every palate.

The Truffle Chips and the Cheese Platter went well with the Prosecco we ordered. The Pepato Short Ribs were excellent, as well---juicy, flavourful, and melt-in-your-mouth.

The staff at Lusso are very low-key, unobtrusive, and well-mannered. They operate very efficiently. Because of the establishment's open layout, it is relatively easy for them to keep an eye peeled for guests' needs.

The toilet is a single-unit affair, but is tastefully rendered and always kept clean. It's a shared arrangement (no separate facilities for men and women) but it appears ample for the establishment's size.

All up, thus is what makes Lusso one of our top favourites to dine at, when...
