We have always booked our Manila stays at a familiar hotel along Makati Avenue, but this time a friend urged us to try Discovery Primea. She got me at, “It’s right across Glorietta.” That alone was enough to convince me, so we went ahead and booked a two-room stay from October 12th to 18th, without hesitation.||Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a delightful dessert that truly hit the spot. Since seeing my family was my top priority, I was thankful that having them visit the hotel was such a breeze. The location is incredibly convenient; easy access to transportation, malls, and everything else that mattered during our stay.||Food has always been something our family looks forward to, but our first dinner at Tapenade, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. However, I was impressed by how management stepped in without delay; checking on us personally, offering sincere apologies, and ensuring that the rest of our dining experiences were nothing short of exceptional. They more than made up for that first evening, and we appreciated the gesture.||Staying for an entire week gave us the chance to dine at all the hotel’s restaurants. The service stood out; consistently warm, courteous, and attentive. Special commendation to Melvie and Michael at Gilarmi; Kareen at Flame; and Diether, Allen, and Penny at Tapenade during breakfast. The chicken wings were so good we could order them again and again. The lobster fried rice had wonderful flavor, though the lobster itself seemed a bit overcooked. The cheeseburger and Texan burger were both outstanding. The kare-kare, for my Asian palate, simply had too much cashew. But overall, the food was enjoyable and the effort to please guests was evident throughout.||Our rooms were spotless, well-kept, and maintained daily with care. Housekeeping did a fine job: polite, efficient, and never intrusive. Breakfast at Tapenade deserves praise, especially the tapa, champorado, and taho. And I must say, being greeted each morning with that “power shot” drink was a marvelous touch.||I would also like to acknowledge Rain from the concierge, who was incredibly helpful the entire week. The gym was clean and easy to access, and parking was convenient, something I truly appreciated. Lastly, special thanks to Ms. Belle Ching for managing our reservation. We even requested last-minute changes, and she handled everything with patience and clear communication. That level of professionalism is rare these days.||For the peace of mind, the service, and the overall experience, the hotel’s rates are more than fair. This isn’t our first time staying at Discovery Primea, and when we were planning my sister’s birthday celebration, I even suggested that maybe we could try a different hotel this time. My point being, we were going to spend anyway, so why not try something new? But my family was quick to say no. There’s just something about Discovery Primea that’s hard to beat. There’s a level of comfort, warmth, and consistency here that keeps drawing us back. I guess you can say we’re a little biased, but it’s because every stay truly feels special.

From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. A huge thank you to Leoni, the Front Office Supervisor, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. She’s genuinely one of the reasons why we love coming back. She took the time to check on us throughout our stay, made sure every request was attended to, and even added small thoughtful touches that made the celebration extra meaningful. You can really feel her sincerity in what she does, she treats guests like family, and that makes all the difference.

AD from Front Office, who handled our check-in, and Rein from Concierge were both incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Everything felt effortless because of them, and it truly set the tone for the rest of our stay.

During our dining experiences, we were also well taken care of. Roy and Dale from breakfast were attentive and cheerful, and Joy and Chef Chello at Tapenade made our dinner truly delightful. The food, as always, was exceptional, but it’s the staff’s genuine hospitality that made it even better.

A special mention as well to Christian from the pool area. My nephew got a very small scratch while swimming (nothing serious) and even though we didn’t ask for help, Christian immediately came over to check on us and offered assistance. He even asked if we wanted to have it checked at the clinic. That level of attentiveness says so much about how observant and caring the staff are here. The scratch was very minor (my nephew even went back to swimming right after!), but the gesture really left an impression on us.

Every time we stay at Discovery Primea, it reminds us why we keep coming back. It’s more than just a luxury hotel; it’s a place that feels like home, where the service is heartfelt and every detail is handled with care.
