Im a loyal Starbucks customer, I’ve enjoyed consistent service across various branches in the Philippines. I ordered, a Venti tea with two bags—a blend of chamomile and mint—is usually met with accommodating smiles at branches on Kalayaan street, Century Mall and glorrieta cinama branches. Imagine my surprise and dismay, then, when I visited the SM Jazz branch only to be met with outright refusal to honor my usual order.
The staff members, Mica and Mantha, not only declined my request but did so with a lack of respect that left me genuinely unsettled. They went so far as to question the validity of my experience at other branches, openly doubting what I was sharing. Despite my request for them to call these other locations for clarification, they said they are closed although kalayaan street bebch closes 12 midnight and it was 11:30pm only, dismissing my experience as if it were entirely inconsequential.
In an era where customer service is paramount, this was the most dismissive treatment I have ever received. It felt as if my loyalty and satisfaction were trivial matters to the staff at SM Jazz.
