Dined on a Saturday around 6pm. There was a waiting list but it was manageable at the time we arrived. But there was a long line by the time we left at around 8pm.
We availed of the unli hotpot .Food wise, the food was average with the usual processed ball quality . The meat slices were okay and of typical quality. I got the mushroom and mild spicy broth, both of which tasted ok but forgettable. The Jiang Nan dipping sauce was on the sweet side but did pack a lot of flavor. Although you could easily tire from the flavor.
Also, they served powdered orange juice. No plum tea served.
On the service, it was okay considering that the restaurant was full so you do have to call their attention. But when called, attendants do their best to serve you. The Menu does not have any pictures and have non typical names used locally. So it can sometimes be a guessing game what you are ordering.
If you plan to drive a car to this place, be prepared to be stressed out by the lack of parking space. This restaurant only has four parking slots and you'll need to park at the nearby SM Jazz Mall which also has limited parking.
This place is not ideal for big groups since it has a two hour time limit upon ordering. Logistically, you will need everyone to be present before ordering.
Notable food items were crab roe balls, taro sticks, flower squid and king oyster & shiitake mushrooms.
There is a 5% service charge on top of the advertised rate. Private rooms have a 200 pesos charge per room but you get to have individual hotpots.
Overall, it was an average dining experience with...
Read moreIt was understandably busy as we arrived at about 6:15 pm. The place was crowded and we were 9th in line. We were bumped to be 4th because we were dining with senior citizens. We weren't allowed a VIP room since there were only 7 of us in the group and the minimum is 8. They're not accepting reservations for groups with less than 20 pax.
We waited for about an hour and 15 minutes and we saw lots of empty tables. We found out those were for the one who made reservations and a down payment.
The food tasted fresh and they used high quality ingredients. The refills were surprisingly prompt and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The Jiangnan Special Sauce was rich because of the peanut and I liked the soy sauce with spices and chili garlic sauce. I prefer the original soup than the mushroom soup. I like the squid, lobster balls, and other balls they served but we weren't able to identify anymore because we ordered a lot.
The reason why I rated the service only 4 stars is because one tired staff placed a beer can rather abruptly it almost tipped over and she didn't seem to care one whit if it did.
There was also a confusion in the bill since the table we occupied was part of a group.
It was still an enjoyable dining experience and we would definitely...
