I recently celebrated my birthday at Vikings in SM Jazz Makati, accompanied by three of my closest friends, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped in, the high ceilings and spacious interior set a grand and welcoming atmosphere. The layout was both impressive and comfortable, making it an ideal venue for a celebration. Our table attendee, Robert, was exceptional. His attentiveness and efficiency were evident as he quickly catered to our requests and ensured our table was impeccably organized after each dish. A special thanks to Robert and his partner, Ace, who performed an animated and joyous rendition of "Happy Birthday"—their energy was contagious and it made the celebration hilariously awesome. It's safe to say we will definitely be returning. The culinary offerings at Vikings were nothing short of mouthwatering. The Filipino station showcased local favorites with even a Shabu Shabu station, though the palabok sauce could use a slight improvement. The Chinese station offered delectable dim sum and Buddha soup that was both flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Japanese station featured a fresh sushi and sashimi selection that was a delight for any seafood lover. The Italian station was equally impressive, with a variety of pasta dishes and a sumptuous pizza selection. The sweets and salad stations were a haven for those with a sweet tooth and those seeking a refreshing bite, especially the avocado ice cream! Despite a minor letdown with the caldereta, the overall quality and diversity of the food were excellent, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. What truly set this experience apart was the impeccable service provided by Robert and Ace. Their enthusiasm and dedication were evident throughout our lunchtime. Robert's quick reflexes in attending to our needs and Ace's high-energy performance created an unforgettable dining experience. They were not just attendants; they were the life of our party. Both individuals displayed a level of joyful professionalism and zest that is rare to find. In conclusion, Robert and Ace are undoubtedly the best attendees we have had the pleasure of encountering—they are genuinely joyful and insanely awesome in their service. A huge thank you to them for making my birthday celebration at Vikings a memorable one.

Vikings at SM Jazz Mall in Makati is a dining experience that blends an extensive selection of international cuisines with an upscale, buffet-style ambiance. As one of the most popular buffet chains in the Philippines, it lives up to its reputation for variety and indulgence. **Ambiance:** The restaurant offers a spacious and well-designed interior, with modern décor and an inviting atmosphere. The seating is comfortable, and the layout makes it easy to navigate between food stations without feeling too crowded. **Food Selection:** The spread at Vikings Jazz Mall is impressive, catering to various tastes and preferences. The buffet features a mix of Asian, Western, and Filipino dishes. Highlights include the sushi and sashimi bar, freshly grilled meats at the carving station, and a variety of seafood options. The dessert station is also worth mentioning, with a wide range of cakes, pastries, and local Filipino delicacies like halo-halo. **Service:** The staff is attentive and responsive, ensuring that tables are cleared promptly, and drinks are refilled without delay. Special requests are accommodated, and the overall service is friendly and efficient. **Price:** While Vikings is on the higher end in terms of buffet pricing, the quality and variety of the food justify the cost, especially for special occasions. **Overall:** Vikings offers a luxurious buffet experience with a vast selection of food and attentive service. It's perfect for family gatherings, celebrations, or when you're just in the mood to indulge in a grand dining experience.

First time trying out Vikings in this branch. Originally we were supposed to go to NIU, but unfortunately they were already fully booked. First impression in getting to our reservation? It was a bit messy. At around 5pm a crowd has already formed outside of the restaurant. There was no waiting areas. Just a bunch of people standing outside. You’d think you would be able to sit immediately when 5pm comes but people started lining up and the lady behind the counter just started calling out people’s first names on a speaker announcing their reservation. It was a bit odd for me since it felt so unorganized. They even wrapped something around our wrist so it made me feel like I’m entering an amusement park more than a restaurant 😂 When we were finally seated, the AC wasn’t that strong and with all the cooks making the food at the buffet area, we could definitely feel some heat. It’s not that bad though. But the plates could definitely be cleaned more. Impression on the food: siomai doesn’t taste fresh. Their sashimi wasn’t cut properly. Which was too bad since I usually love sashimis Their tempura is absolutely tasty though! Freshly cooked and soft . Their lamb is also good. I was hoping for more healthy options but there wasn’t much. Service impression: the staff were absolutely friendly. Greeted us with a smile and even joked around sometimes with us which was pleasant. All in all I think the restaurant is alright. But I’d prefer to go to a different branch than in this mall.

Food: 2 / 10 Cold/Old/Tough/Cheap Service: 7 / 10 Attentive waiters Atmosphere: 7 / 10 Nice looking building, lots of space Rice on the sushi left out all day long, so coming to try it at 6:15pm it was solid lumps of hard mush. Couldn't eat it The table was broken and rocking like a seesaw Meat direct from the chef was cold? There was salmon sashimi but after what I've tried so far, I'd definitely not risk trying that, even if I was paid to! The cold beef was SO tough, the knife couldn't cut it. The bread on the entree table was stale Noise was unbearable and similar in quality level to Jollibee Tried the pizza... Cold and greasy Tried the pasta .. cold (Almost fridge temperature) This is a serious health hazard for bacteria to spread. Bill for 2 people was 2273 but felt like it should have been no more than 700 Peso. I'm just going to pray I don't get food poisoning from this place. Waiters were nice, but the only food I enjoyed was the ice-cream and melon. Some of the door staff welcoming people in clearly had the flu, with runny noses and coughing. Being so highly rated on here, I expected 100% better quality food and the cold food let down the hard working waiters. For some reason staff were still wearing masks??? The fake pandemic was evidently rid of and over before it began and we find this an insult to those of us who followed nonsense COVID rules and lost love ones to the vaccines we were told would save them from nothing.

This is my first time to try Vikings at this venue. It’s been more than 8-9 years I have tried Vikings (had tried in Cebu but never in Manila). My boyfriend was impressed with the food. Looking back on what Vikings was when they newly opened in Cebu. I would say they have changed a lot.. the entire floor at level 2-3 was used as venue for Viking in Cebu but this particular venue is just a fraction of the space of where I went a few years back. Nevertheless, there was a lot of food to choose from. I was looking forward for a crispy Lechon.. freshly cooked food aside from the cooked food.. some food wasn’t as great but I’m happy for the shabu shabu section on which I was able to have some fresh seafood cooked.. cravings satisfied.. I just hope that over the years. You guys will maintain the quality and not just increase the prices.. looking forward for food like: lechon - pork and belly, manok, roasted meat - beef, ribs, lamb Filipino style bbq, danggit, pusit (stuffed and dried), deep fried bangus, ginataang mongo and ginataang calabasa, lumpia Shanghai, siomai - pork, shrimp/pork, dumpling - pork and chives, pata tim and bun, machang, fruit salad/bibingka/biko/halo halo, casa cake, peche peche/palitaw, seaweeds, congee, chicken terriyaki/ beef terriyaki, tempura and so on.. food must be freshly made..

I looked forward to dining at Vikings in SM Jazz, but sadly, my experience was riddled with disappointments. The atmosphere didn’t feel as refined, mainly due to the presence of flies, which was off-putting. As for the food, the siomai was underwhelming and tasted like it had too much flour. The salmon sashimi was lackluster in freshness and flavor. We also tried the kakanin, but they were average and didn’t leave a memorable impression. The biggest letdown was the chawanmushi. It tasted sour, likely because it was already cold when I got to it. It was placed in a container sitting on top of water, which left me confused. Was this an attempt to heat it? If so, it was far from effective and quite unappetizing. That said, there were a couple of redeeming points. The Crunchy California Maki was tasty and well-prepared, a small bright spot in an otherwise disappointing meal. However, I was also surprised to find that Milo wasn’t available, especially since it’s often a crowd favorite at Vikings. Overall, while the variety at Vikings is usually something to look forward to, this branch didn’t live up to expectations. With better maintenance and more attention to food quality and freshness, it could be a better experience, but for now, it’s hard to recommend.
