Battuta Boracay — Restaurant in Malay

I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiancée! ❤️) at Battuta on June 19, 2025, and their service far exceeded my expectations! I'd contacted them via Instagram, simply requesting a table in their 'ideal' spot and for them to play our theme song during the proposal.

Upon arrival, eager for their drinks, I was truly surprised by how they made our moment special. They had thoughtfully asked me earlier to send a playlist of theme songs, ensuring the proposal's mood wouldn't be abrupt or obvious.

Their bartenders and servers were incredibly knowledgeable, providing us with the best cocktails we had ever tasted. As craft beer drinkers without strong preferences for cocktails, trying out Nutty Silk Road, Batida de Battuta, Palomo, and Earl Grey Martini (plus many FREE cocktail shots!) showed me I had truly never experienced cocktails of such caliber.

However, even those great cocktails paled in comparison to their flagship Rum Coke, presented in a smoky treasure chest filled with gold coins. My plan was to discreetly slide in a 'Will you marry me?' note, but to my utter surprise, they had already placed it in the treasure chest with the Rum Coke intended for my girlfriend.

The timing was perfect. As our theme song played and I sipped the best Rum Coke I had ever tasted, I uttered the words written on the box, and the rest is history. Though I couldn't capture many moments, the day's memories are forever etched in my mind.

If a higher star rating than 5 were possible, I'd give it instantly. A huge thank you to Battuta and Ms. Johanna for expertly handling this, especially as it was their first proposal request! We'll definitely be back on our next...

My fiance proposed to me here (the staff helped too) so I am kinda biased lmao but we’re both craft beer drinkers who dabble only once/twice a year with cocktails and Battuta definitely served the best tasting ones we’ve had in like ever.

We had the:

Nutty silk road which had bourbon, baklava, & nuts. Tastes exactly how it’s described (first pic)

Batida de battuta which had mango & coconut rum + mango coconut leather. This is a mustttt for people who don’t like the sharp taste of alcohol (first pic)

Earl grey martini with earl grey infused gin & foam. The foam was a tasty surprise! (no pic bec we were having fun by then haha)

Palomo with jalapeño tequila. This goes extra harddd for spicy lovers (no pic as well)

Rum coke with Tanduay 170 yr heritage rum and clarified coke. Very extra with the presentation, comes with smoke and coins in a chest. Also the best rum coke we’ve had 😭 (see shaky vid lol)

They also gave us some nuts to munch on :)

Everyone’s super friendly. We had a nice and memorable experience too. This place is pretty popular so I recommend you make a reservation instead of walking in.
