Gerry's Grill SM Megamall — Restaurant in Mandaluyong

Gerry’s Grill has always been a favorite restaurant of mine, and recently, I had the opportunity to visit their branch in Megamall. The dining area is quite appealing, featuring modern decor with warm lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere. The layout is spacious, allowing for comfortable seating arrangements that cater to both small and large groups.

When it comes to the food, the quality is generally good, but there is definitely room for improvement in certain areas. For instance, I ordered the crispy kangkong, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. It was quite oily and lacked the desired crunchiness that makes this dish popular.

Moreover, while the staff was friendly, the service could use some enhancement. There were moments when our orders seemed to take longer than necessary to arrive, and we found it challenging to get the attention of the servers for additional requests. This place is OK since the food is delicious and reasonably priced. A little bit of wait time you arrive earlier than dinner time. I came around 5.30 PM and still waited around 15 minutes before being seated. When we went inside, there was a bad smell that smells like gas leak. I asked what it was and to be transferred elsewhere but the staff mentioned that the smell is coming from the air conditioner so it's inside the place. He suggested that we move to a table outside and we agreed. We waited again for the table to be vacant before being transferred. When we sat down, there were so many flies in our table even without any food. It was so inconvenient for us as we have to cover our food and drinks while we're eating. I recently dined at Gerry’s Grill at SM Megamall and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. The service was impeccable – attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.

As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We started with the roasted beet salad, which was fresh and vibrant, followed by the main course of seared scallops – perfectly cooked, tender, and paired with a delicious citrus glaze. The dessert, a rich chocolate fondant, was the perfect ending to a memorable meal.

Every bite was a delight, and I can't wait to return to try more dishes. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!
