My friends and I were excited to try Thai food since we'll be going to a trip there in January (And I love Thai food - even if I'm not a fan of spicy food). The place looked good but the interiors we're kind of awkwardly sized. And knowing that they serve spicy food, it was bad that their Air-conditioning was not circulating well. We then decided to order and 2 of my friends ordered separately for the bill, they also ordered first. Then like 10 minutes we ordered, the food started to come. It was just disappointing that they would serve the rice first without the viands. Also the intervals of the arrival of the food was long in between. Now after like almost 30minutes, the order of my friends (who ordered before all of us) still hasn't arrived and we had to follow up like 3 times and nobody was giving us feedback. My friend was starting to get frustrated and decided to call for the manager TIN, this is where everything started to get messed up. First she didn't know what the orders was, and kept thinking that we had additional orders. She even insinuated that it was my friend who made the mistake and not them. Then kind of said that my friend's orders were forgotten. Then when we asked her what my friend ordered, she was giving the wrong information. We also felt that she was avoiding us, and she could not even complete her sentence. Thank goodness to one of the waiters who were trying to be extra helpful to us knowing that my friend was already mad. The manager TIN was kind of hiding and did not apologize until my friend asked for one. The food was good, but the experience that we had was disappointing especially with the manager TIN. She should have been trained to deescalate situations and not insult their customer's intelligence. I won't recommend eating in Nara Megamall. Maybe if they have take out, but it would be too pricey for that because I assume you also pay for the ambiance... What we didn't want to pay for was the BAD service and BAD attitude of the manager TIN, she didn't seem...
Read moreit was my first time to dine here last night coz i'm a fond of Thai foods.
They're accommodating. The place has a good ambiance, I like the color motifs, and I like their rice, it's tasty.
On the other hand, their cr isn't working, so I had to search for cr's, it took me so long coz there was a lot of people. It was time consuming. I observed that their booklet menu isn't that presentable. Then their spicy seafood did not meet my expectations. The sourness overpowered its taste, it's not even spicy. It's bad. The portion size of the food along with it's taste is unacceptable for an expensive cost. Then at the end of my meal, there was a little stone in my rice. I'm a bit disappointed, coz if I was unaware of its presence in my food, then it might hurt me.
I told this matter nicely to the waiter and it seems like they were not that trained how to respond to their customers. Actually he was shy but told me he would forward it to their management.
Then when we billed out, the other guy was also informed about it. He said, "you should have told it earlier ma'am, we could've change it". I said, I saw it when I'm about to finish my meal, then he told me he'll forward it too.
So I was kinda disappointed with my experience because they were not able to provide some compensation like food compliments or something else that they can offer. It's always gaining the trust of your customers to go back to your dining tables. I hope if situations like this happens to other customers, you're all ready and able to accommodate their needs. Some customers are wilder than you thought.
Always have a good communication and apologize for the inconveniences. You're not just there to serve,...
Read moreOur experience at Nara Thai restaurant in Megamall was less than satisfactory. While the ambiance and service may have been pleasant, the authenticity and quality of the dishes did not meet our expectations.
It's disappointing that the dishes I ordered did not reflect the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine. The pad thai, a staple of Thai cuisine, was noted to be lacking in the distinctive nutty and spicy flavors that are characteristic of the dish, which is essential for an authentic experience.
On a positive note, the tako, or Thai coconut dessert, was a highlight of the meal, with its creamy and milky texture providing a satisfying and enjoyable experience.
However, it's regrettable that the mango sticky rice, a beloved Thai dessert, fell short of expectations. The watery and overly sweet sticky rice, paired with a sauce lacking in the authentic flavors of traditional mango sticky rice, was a disappointment and did not measure up to the standards one would expect.
The watercress dessert also failed to impress, as it was served with an excessive amount of ice and lacked an ample serving of cressnuts, detracting from the overall experience.
It's concerning that the restaurant appeared to be sparsely populated during our visit, which may indicate that others have had similar experiences.
In conclusion, it is evident that there is room for improvement at Nara Thai restaurant in Megamall. It is hoped that the restaurant takes feedback seriously and endeavors to enhance the authenticity and quality of their offerings to provide a more satisfying dining experience for their patrons...
